it wasnt what you said, its how you said it.

Tell that to the MS rep. Didnt say anything that wasnt said by him. I translated one thing by reading between the lines.

Please.

yup, and that was the thing in the parenthesis. What would you call paying hundreds of people and their transportation to go convert XBs into a bundle?

You're missing the point... or changing it.

Maybe, just maybe it wasn't the mod who was clueless after all.

mill a month even through the usually slow Q2 and Q3? Even the Wii barely reached that level of sales in its first year and that was half the price and appealed to a consumer base that don't follow console gamers' purchasing habbits so closely. One million per month is too high imo, the summer lull will be tough for everyone and there aren't really any huge titles to drive amazing weekly hardware sales, probably until fall/winter.

Dont the manufacture need to stock pile throughout the year to have enough during the holidays though?

Not at this time. It would be too costly and really cumbersome to store 100'000s of consoles for several months. At this time of year, manufacturers usually have already cut back on production for the summer hole. For a new generation start, that is obviously difficult to decide (and those decisions must be made at least half a year in advance for every quarter, unless you wan to pay premium prices. We will see how that sorts out for MS, whose XBox One seems to already have saturated certain markets. Sony could go on with full production (around 275k per week is my guess), but we don't know what they expected, a year ago when planning was done. My guess is they are also scaling back soon.

Not hard to find in Scandinavia. This sounds a bit over the top, what kind of baseline are they expecting here?

A mill a month easily if not more.

on a different note, i can swear so many on here were so sure supply would be fullfilled in january, just wait PS4 sales will drop soon enough lmao.

Wii also faced stronger competition, PS4 can sale more by taking more market share.  PS4 actually has some decent releases to sustain sales.

E3 will be telling on what we can expect this year.

 Your post contradicts itself...

If the thread was fine, it wouldn't have been locked. Simple.

When I got my PS4 back in late January, I made a thread here about my Best Buy experience when I bought the console. I "read between the lines" about how there was a literal stockpile of XBones on the shelf (like 64, I believe) and when I walked into the store there was a handmade sign saying "we have Xbox One" (not an official sign like this but a plain looking print out on a 8x11 piece of paper, no such sign existed for the PS4 even though they had some that day, and I only went to Best Buy instead of some other store because of a thread here that said Best Buy had PS4s in stock, so I'm thinking "if they got a shipment, why is there no equivalent sign saying they have PS4s?"). My "reading between the lines" was that they were trying to make it very apparent that XBones were in stock and were basically "begging" people to buy them because as opposed to the PS4, which was kept in the back, the XBones were actually in sight on the store floor (albeit on a top shelf).

Thread wasn't locked. Nobody said I was trolling.

no, you'll have to not spin "spending money" as "wasting money".

implying that its fucked whatever happens, so why waste the money.

you were trolling, the thread was locked.  simple.

If you have that bad of reading comprehension that isnt my problem. owhere did I imply XB1 sales were fucked no matter what. But yes, paying hundreds of people and theif transportation to drive from store to store to convert old stock into a bundle that was never intended to be a bundle is wasting resources. Simple. The reason it was locked was because the mod thought it was hard to believe. As in, he doesnt think old stock was converted. Thats why I cant mention the MS rep if i reopened it. #dealwithit

And since I made that thread two retailers have since lowered the price of the XB1 titanfall bundle. Hm...

http://www.zoolert.com/videoconsoles/playstation-4/trackers/index.php

3 Days available at Amazon and Best Buy and many other places with bundles...

http://www.amazon.com/best-sellers-video-games/zgbs/videogames/ref=sv_vg_11

And now its only 2 position ahead the 499 Titanfall bundle.

And, if you check GameStop pick-up you will find PS4 in every store for every major City in America.

Are we done with "shortages" yet?

The Titanfall bundle is 450 on Amazon, you've just got to use a promo code, thats why it has moved up.
