Forums - Sales - Titanfall Xbox One charts in countries Xbox One hasn't launched in yet

http://www.gfkhitlist.com/game.aspx

Titanfall Xbox One version, #4 Sweden, #5 Norway, #11 Denmark, and #15 Finland.

Xboc One hasn't officially launched in any of those countries yet, it's gray market stuff. Kind of funny. Actually in Sweden it charted ahead of the top PS4 title as well (Fifa 14 at #14). Actually same for all 4 except Denmark where Fifa 14 PS4 beat it.

I wouldn't say its surprising that it is selling in those territories because it is pretty easy to buy an xbox one from another country. Obviously only hardcore gamers would do that, but that is still a significant chunk of people.

It is suprising that xbox one game sales are being tracked at all though. Are xbox one games even officially sold in those countries or are they imported as well?

Not surprising that it is tracking, but that it is so high in the charts! Really good news!

And that's the reason why Xbone sales won't improve much when it will launch in those other European markets, they all unofficially have consoles and games and all the fanboys already own one. Sure some might have waited but it's really not a hassle to just import from Amazon or get in smaller game shops.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

"Gray market"? It's for sale in all of those countries, in stores and all. The consumer doesn't care if it's directly from MS or through other countries first (and certainly won't notice). Doesn't support the "sales are low because it's only launched in 14 countries" argument, though

Interesting and informative website. I wonder why we don't do weekly threads with more GFK charts than UK

probably because sales numbers are so low there that they aren't really interesting for the big picture even if it is still interesting to see the taste of different countries.

but that also means that even if people couldn't buy xbox ones in these countries, sales wouldn't rise much with an official release so that this argument to defend xbox one sales was always useless. xbox is simply much weaker in europe and at least in germany they also never tried enough to have a chance against sony so that it doesn't surprise me.

Not surprising at all, actually. I know several folks from South Africa who imported the game, even after EA said they weren't going to release in SA due to latency issues (though, from what I understand, Microsoft is thinking about putting an Azure server bank in or at least nearer than Europe/America). There wer allot of folks who're really anxious to get their hands on TF, so yeah, as long as it's not region locked....

You can probably buy an XBO pretty easily in most of those countries.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

lol, good stuff.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

They give a better view of how next-gen is doing in Europe outside the UK (UK behaves very differently from the rest of Europe). It is interesting to me to see the general trends.

just realized that I read your post wrong. Thought you meant that we don't have sales numbers for countries like Sweden but you meant that we don't really talk about GFK charts of all other countries including France, Germany and so on and pretty much only about UK.
