Won't be this e3. To many Wii u games coming that it would destroy. E3 2015 possibly if things don't show an improvement after titles like X.

As for what happens if it fails? Let's wait and see What happens to the current system first. I've a feeling they're going for a single format that works as a home console or handheld system and can see this being very viable for them as it means the same games will serve both Japan's large handheld market and the West's handheld apathetic home console driven market.

They'll burn more money all while Microsoft is getting more and more desperate because of the PS4 dominance. In 2018 or so Nintendo will have lost enough money for Microsoft to buy them relatively cheap. All hail Nintendo XBox!

No way they announce anything before they tried (and got money from) their famous licenses. Not sure you care, but it's also early for Doom talks about Nintendo: that one of their two core business, next gen competition just started and they have ton of cash (too much in fact, they should spend much more on gpu, games, 3rd party support and merges).

Doubt there will be another one. A new powerfull handheld that can connect to TV and has a special tv controller, yes. Hybrid should do ok, they are quite competent in that arena.

Instead of just a handheld that connects to a TV, I think they will have a seperate handheld & console but use similar hardware which has the same software. That way if u prefer home consoles u dont have to deal with buying a handheld.

Handheld version more powerful than Vita, similar to the jump from PSP to 3DS, renders games in 720p

Console version slightly more powerful than Wii U, similar to the jump from Gamecube to Wii, renders games in 1080p

Each sold for $199 at a small profit and launch holiday 2016.

If the home version sells 15-30 million and the handheld version 35-70 million thats puts the total at 50-100 million which would likely allow for 100-200 million units of 1st party software sold. Nintendo should be able to make a large chunk of cash with this scenario.

I agree with some of the posts above. There won't be another Nintendo console, not in the way you traditionally would expect.

They will make a handheld that will be about as powerful as the Wii U, and that will either connect to the TV, or have a cheaper "console" variant ... which is the same chips, maybe overclocked or featuring extra cores for TV play.

The handheld will render up to 720p (but most taxing games will run at 480-540p), whereas the TV variant will run the same games just at 1080p resolution. Wii U quality graphics (more or less).

It will be like the Apple set up ... there's iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch that all share the same game ecosystem and similar chipset components, some have different screen resolutions but are otherwise basically the same thing. So it doesn't really matter if say iPod touch isn't selling so great, it's just an extra variant. 

I don't think they'll announce a new console at e3. They sure as hell better show some Wii U games, hopefully announce some new ones.

I have no idea what's going on at Nintendo but they are doing a horrible job with wii u. Indie games aren't going to be enough to get people to buy the system. It's a shame they weren't more prepared for this.
