Forums - Nintendo - Does anyone really actually care about Bayonetta 2?

I think the game looks fun but I have a question. Is the main character a lesbian? I'm just curious. I'm not hateful towards gays, I love them as people and children of God and they are sinners just like everybody else but I don't like it when games have agendas that I don't agree with so does anyone know anything about this from the first game? Guildwars 2 just shoved this type of thing down my throat. Again I'm not trying to deprive people from their right to be gay, I just personally am against it and don't want it shoved down my throat in games or movies. Much love all.

I don't know, but I hope she is now.

By the way, sticking "much love all" at the end of your comment doesn't make it any less ignorant or offensive.

i do care, i like the first one.

Hopefully no more game of the geneation threads.

bayo 1 is on my queue of games to play.
if i like, i buy bayo 2. simple.

I've seen every trailer and still I don't understand what the game is about, what the controls are like etc.

Yep.

The game looks really terrible to me, not graphically but in gameplay. I've only watched that recent nintendo direct video and never played the original. I like a game where I can get my head around the story this also seems unlikely with this. Not really into hack and slash. I think the reality for this game even if released on more major formats it wouldn't be huge but on wii u its hard to see it reaching 0.5 million and may struggle to achieve that. Probably a huge loss maker for Nintendo but then it was never really a hugely popular genre.

Nintendo really ought to be thinking about reviving some of their old ip's like Pilotwings, F-Zero, Waverace etc. Also dare I mention fps games perhaps an fps game with a huge japanese influence. Maybe a samurai or ninja type fps with nunchucks and legendary japanese monsters. I'd also love to see a new Starfox game. Nintendo need to spend money on games with the potential to be huge hits to drive console sales.

A great many people, on both sides of the fence, seem to care about Bayonetta 2 simply because it's an exclusive.

I didn't like the first one, so I'm not interested in playing it, but I am interested in seeing what impact it has on the Wii U.

I want to play this game, but I don't know how to convince my wife to be ok with it.

Pretty sure the industry is watching closely how well a hardcore title does on the Wii U. If it does well enough, it could change the 3rd party support Wii U has.

You need permission from your wife to play a game with a woman in it? Thats kinda sad, bro.

People that didn't even know about the 1st one are treating it like a gamechanger because its exclusive to Wii U.

Unless a game gets incredible reviews across the board and justifies the hype, like The Last of Us for example, every exclusive on every platform is overhyped, be it slightly or by a great margin.

Why do you point out Nintendo fans doing this when other fanbases have done exactly the same for  months on end?

I point out Nintendo fans because this specific game franchise wasn't even available for them until now. Now all of a sudden its amazing.

It don't look amazing to you?  It do to me.

Dude, you are on a roll today!

Anyway. I didn't like the first one but I'm sure there are more than enough people looking forward to it. I just don't get why it's taking so damn long. Hasn't Nintendo said sometime that they only announce titles relatively close to release? When did they announce Bayonetta 2, over a year ago?

I don't know, with the current Wii U install base, I don't even know if it can stay exclusive or if Sega will just buy their way out of exclusivity to release on other platforms.

Nintendo never sold an exclusivity to anybody and I don't see why they would, so no multiplat for this one...

The E3 trailer on Youtube has 620k views and 8k likes. Yup. Looks  like one hell of an irrelevant game to me.

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare Teaser has 3m views and you see how it did on its first week.
Same could be said about Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze E3 trailer and its 1m views especially in connection with the hardware increased it has caused.

I wouldn't count too much on YouTube views.
