Forums - Nintendo - Does anyone really actually care about Bayonetta 2?

I never played the original, but I may find it and give it a try before B2 comes out. I loved Castlevania, and B is inspired by DMC which was inspired by Castlevania. So I might like it. But from what I see it looks very pretty but with shallow gameplay, which isn't my style. But I'm keeping an eye on it. I'd like to get it, but probably not at $59.

Kamiya-produced games always have a deep, intricate, unique combo systems. They are never typical hack-n-slash games. In games like DMC, Metal Gear Rising, Bayo 1, and TW101, you can beat the game through button mashing, but you'll die a lot. Enough to make you throw your controller a few times. But if  youinvest you invest your time in mastering the combos, these games will become some of the best you've ever played.

hmmm... I'll have to give the orignal a try.  I never played DMC, but I always meant to - it looked cool.

Yes, I do. I was hoping they had this game ready this spring. Looks like we won't get it 'til the summer or fall if we're lucky.

Never cared about the first one. I don't like playing as a female character so this game was done for me before I even knew what it was about.

I did like Tomb Raider though. If a game is good enough I can deal with it. Bayonetta has always been meh to me though for some reason.

Tip: if you want to sell a system, make games for the ones that didn't bought your system yet, not for the one that already bought.

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

I care. I never played the first one since the look didn't appeal to me much, but the game's aesthetics and Bayonetta's design have vastly improved it seems, and I adored W101. It also 'helps' that people with the Wii U aren't exactly spoiled for choice right now, so any exclusive is going to draw a lot of attention.

I don't think Bayonetta 2 will be a huge success, but I also don't think it will flop as hard as people think. It already has a decent number of preorders (the accuracy of those numbers are debatable, of course) and has received faaaar more attention than the original ever did thanks to the exclusivity and controversy. I hope for at least a modest success, but I'm not delusional enough to think a total flop is out of the question for now.

I dont know what you mean by "care" I mean, I'll buy it, release day? nah, release week? yes

The five people who bought the first game and the Nintendo fans who brag about it being exclusive. No one else cares.

As a Wii U owner, I can almost guarantee that I won't buy it. I try and support third party games that I find interesting. Quick question, is it a DMC clone with a sexy women instead of Dante or is it just a straight beat em up with magic powers and guns? Neither of them really interest me.

It really isn't like DMC or any other fighter. I mean it will feel distinctly like Bayonetta, and not a clone of something else.

It is very fluid, like the Ninja Gaiden games, but with much more flashy moves with the wide variety of torture moves. The levels and bosses also tend to be insane. The story is about some witches and angels and the game has its own mythology about all of that.

It's made by Platinum, fans of action games will care. Your post is retarded.
