Guys really I've been thinking about Apple and Nintendo.. Apple should buy out Nintendo... Apple could provide the resources for a quality console and Nintendo could provide the quality games still using mario and company as their flagship characters!!! You guys agree? :)

Please no... I don't want to pay $5000 for hardware that has the same power level as the gamecube...

lol... come on hun I kno apple is known for high pricing but they would be smart in this market... They are very innovative and they would obviously set prices to compete with the competition, while nintendo's brilliant gaming side would support apples innovation... I dunno the thought just sounds genious to me... I've had a few drinks lol. Oh well just my thoughts.. :)

I'd love to see Nintendo acquire Capcom. Not sure if that's realistic though.

Guys, I think everyone is missing the mark here... Nintendo really needs to be bought out and start fresh with extensive resources.. If Apple bought them out... they could produce a super powerful console while still supporting the mario etc. brand and all their fantastic games... they need a restart button with a new company... love ya guys :)

Since Nintendo ain't getting any lovin' from 3rd parties, buying Capcom or Sega makes sense, but buying Western studios makes even more sense. That's what they need to do. Capcom and Sega is just... moar of what Nintendo has to offer (excluding RE). Sony and Megaman is just more platformers, and Nintendo has that already. And SSB > Street Fighter. Focus on Western devs.

And I don't think Sony is willing to part with the PS branch, since it's one of their divisions that actually makes money. And the PS4 is seeing strong sales, so why sell that? Why branch off that part? Makes no sense.

And MS is not willing to give up the living room just yet. If the X1 totally bombs this gen, THEN they might want to sell of the brand. But that's at least 3 years from now. And it would be smart of Nintendo to swoop in and buy it then; they'd get IP's and devs that caters to a more... "mature" audience.

Why would it kill those games? Street Fighter IV port on 3DS did over 1 million and Resident Evil Revelations has sold close to 1 million on 3DS+Wii U, the Gamecube Resident Evil games were able to average about 1.5 million a piece.

Street Fighter V+Resident Evil 7 exclusive to Nintendo's next handheld+console could sell 2-3 million each.

Naaaw, Apple wouldn't be a good fit at all. Firstly, why would they want to enter the gaming market? It's relatively niche, with a potential market cap at 250m, and you're not making much money on HW. Only Nintendo usually makes money off of their HW - which Apple would love, but here's the problem; Apple has the money to make a powerful console, but, a $500 pricing doesn't sit too well with gamers (X1/PS3, erhm), and it wouldn't offer much of a profit at that price anyways. There's also the possibility that Apple tells Nintendo what to do, and Nintendo doesn't roll that way.

No, it's better for Nintendo to scoop up Western devs and/or enter a deal with Disney; make cartoons of Mario and Donkey Kong, and movies of Metroid and Zelda, and in return make Disney games, and maybe add a NintendoLand at their theme parks. Strengthen your brand, Nintendo! Work that image of yours, damnit.
