Will you quit generalizing the entire Playstation fanbase? Most Sony fans are very happy with the PS4 success and kept their expectations for Japan in check. There's some Nintendo fans on this site that still think the WiiU can win this generation, yet I don't call the entire Nintendo fanbase delusional because of a few certain people. Every fanbase has their bad seeds.

That's why I said "many Sony fans" instead of all.  And yes, in fairness I doubt the average Sony fan is like that, but it seems to be bad on this site.  I found the comments I posted on the first two pages alone, so I'm sure there's plenty more.

The Xbox One fanbase is the best. None of them believes the One will do great in Japan.

Golden Week is little over a month and a half away, which is the true big holiday sales time for Japan, so it will be interesting to see how the ps4 fares then.

No, only estimates so far, but there is a advantage for the oficial release of Xbox One in all major retailer sites. 

But I am sure the counterfeit PS4 is selling more units in the illegal market.

Japan will be a smartphone-tablet market in 2-3 years time unless something dramatic is done to stem the tide. Home consoles are dead, but even dedicated gaming portables are showing signs of a sizable decline. 

Personally I think Nintendo and Sony should consider joining forces especially for a new portable rather than competing. There won't be much of an industry left for them to compete over in Japan if this keeps up.
