Forums - Nintendo - Batman Arkham Knight not coming to WiiU. Warner slowing down support?

Is this the last year we see core support from third parties

Yes 224 68.71%

No 100 30.67%

Total:324

Warner seem to be pretty staunch WiiU supporters, putting out Lego, Injustice and Batman games, but it seems the new Batman is PS4/XB1/PC only. So is this the end of support from Warner outside of the Lego videogames?

The other two question marks left now are Ubisoft and Assassins Creed, and Activision and Call of Duty.

It's pretty obvious WiiU will always get Just Dance, Skylanders and Rayman. But could this be the last year of annual core support for the WiiU?

If AC and COD are using the same last engines (which I believe they are) then WiiU will still probably get them.

Are the AC rumours not that it's next gen only? I can see Ubi getting a new engine for AC this year or next. COD tho Acti will continue for years, you know what they're like! I guess for them it depends on if the port is worth it or not.

At this point, when the Wii U gets a version of a third party title it is a thread worthy subject. I've just been assuming that their won't be a Wii U version of any announced 3rd party games at this point.

Quite yes, but we're talking the annual stuff WiiU has been getting. One of those was batman, but no more.

Not the first game to skip Wii U, Shadow of Mordor isn't coming either. The strongest support currently comes from Activision, from the currently annouced games only Destiny doesn't come on Wii U. They recently announced some Transformers game and even that is on Wii U as well, Acti skips Vita with every game though

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

This post sums ups my thoughts.

- Ubisoft's support has been outstanding, but even they will sooner or later stop developing for the WiiU. They have no financial justification.

- The reason Activision gave Wii CoD games is because they got nice profits from 1-2M sales, and this doesn't seem to be the case with the WiiU.

I know they don't want to waste money for a wii u port, but if Arkham City and Origins are on the console, I don't see correct to not launch the last game on it. Well, like someone already said, will be news (miracle) when a game is actually coming to wii u.

i wouldnt consider Batman annual unless they have the Origins team making a game for next year but I doubt it.

from what ive heard there will be two AC games. If that is true im assuming a next gen one and a this gen one. Wii U will probably get the PS360 one
