"Dark Souls 2 is almost here "
I have it since yesterday :) , amazing so far. no servers yet though.

I predict 80 - 85 meta. 93 - 97 in a perfect world.

Typical from a Middle Eastern country. We always get games earlier.

I heard people in the US were getting early release from gamestop...

Surely fatigue must be kicking in right now. I predict the same fate for Witcher 3. High 70's.

80-85. It will get complaints that it feels too similar to dark souls.
The first game introduced the stunningly hard yet rewarding gameplay which reviewers loved.
The second game introduced open world in the year open world gaming became a prerequisite for good reviews. (Batman Arkham City, Elder Scrolls V Skyrim, etc.)

The third game isn't introducing any big new changes so I suspect reviews will be closer to 80 than 85. My own personal score will probably be higher though. This is the first time in 2 years that I will be paying over $30 for a not 3ds game.

Well, I also have a retail business, it comes with some advantages :p

I think that Dark Souls 2 will end up with around a mid to upper eighties metacritic score. On the positive side, From Software has a chance to work on the shortcomings of the first two games, but on the negative side, they have to beware of series stagnation, as critics often look for new or original gameplay experiences.

Demon's Souls was able to gain so many accolades because it was fresh at the time, but since this is sort of the third iteration for the series (not including its King's Field roots, of course), it's going to be much more difficult impressing critics, especially when the previous game was only released a few years ago.

Regardless, I've had this game on pre-order and have been purposely avoiding gameplay videos, trailers, and so on, so that I have no clue what to expect.
