the speaker is really annoying in dead nation. each time you switch weapons it tells you and it's really loud. touch pad is meh,but the light bar is pretty cool.

Love the speaker. Lightbar is ok. I hate the touchpad though. So worthless

The touchpad works really well buts it's being wasted imo. The PS4 menu should be designed around the touchpad..you cant even browse the net with the touchpad. That is retarded. Sony really missed a trick here.

Games should also use it more for menu's. War Thunder makes good use of it but then DOESNT allow you to actual use it...sigh.

The speakers are awesome and is widely used in most games. It brings a surround sound/3d type of effect to the living room

The light bar is just the most fucking awesome thing ever. I love it since day 1.

Sony really needs to sort out the battery though. If you are really into a game then a fully charged PS4 controller might only last one day... Yeah im not even exaggerating.

Everything about the DS4 is rad as fuck

Killzone Shadowfall makes use of the controller and the speaker perfectly. Made me wonder what Dead Space would've been like had it come out this gen. The possibilities with the PS4 controller in the way they used the owl with the touch pad. Glorious. Loved it. Can't wait to test it out on InFamous as well.

Tbh its weird getting used to everything.
I don't really notice the light bar
the speaker is pretty cool, but jarring at times when I don't expect it. Like when Lotus talks through the speaker in Warframe.
Touchpad also takes some getting used to, primary controls are still more efficient, but its accurate enough.

the light - at first i thought it was dumb but after playing tomb raider and seeing it light up like fire i can see why they put it there now xD

touchpad - same thing i love going through maps with it

speaker - still havent seen a good use for it

The speaker is pretty damn cool. It's not mind blowing but it makes games feel more personal. The light bar is pretty meh and the touch works well enough.

The touchpad obviously has the best potential for gameplay utility, though if you have the PS Eye then obviously the light bar could do lots of things,

Hopefully devs will find a use for touchpad. Personally I would have liked to see the touchpad be a touch screen, but that would kill the battery life.

I don't have PS4 yet so I can't say anything from personal experience yet.

Headphone jack is the best feature, it's the only way I play audio from my PS4. Fantastic for late night gaming (only time I have the time for gaming).

Touchpad has been fine where it's been used.

It annoys me that the select button is gone, though. Keep hitting the share button by mistake... and that can take quite some time to close... not great when you're online in Ghosts, or something.
