there will be clever uses of touch pad and light bar, but speaker is excellent

in horror games it could really add to tension, picking up audio log in killzone and it playing from your pad whilst you carry on playing was a neat touch

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Touchpad is okay. It's like a big button. Also, in Tomb Raider, I can just run my finger across it to light a torch like a match. The speaker is pretty nice, too. Audio is nice and clear. A big step up from the Wii's shitty speaker and a step down from the Wii U's awesome speaker. Good for immersion in some games.

Fuck that light bar thingy. It really hasn't served any purpose for me. I don't notice it though. I just look down and see it's changed color or something sometimes. Doesn't even really reflect in my LED TV, either.

That "Share" button was a waste of space, though.

The speaker and the touchpad are awesome. Not seeing the point of the light bar yet.

I am the Playstation Avenger.

Audio tapes on KZ playing through pad speaker, justify its inclusion alone, it really is cool :)

My touchpad no longer works with gestures, only works now when I press it in. It's my own fault though since I spilled my drink on the table where the controller was.

Either way, I am not really missing it yet since not much requires the gestures.

I do like the speaker though, just as I did on the Wiimote.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Actually I don't like any of those.
The touchpad feels cheap(ACIV), the speaker is useless since I game with headphones and the lightbar I hate with a passion.
The DS4 as a whole is for me the single worst thing and biggest disappointment of the PS4.

So whatever has disappointed you about the PS4? ::Grabs popcorn::

I was saying the same thing about the speaker for any horror games. If anyone has a haunting message to tell you it could be used through the speaker. LOL There were some times that freaked me out during Killzone because the audio came out of nowhere in the dark.

The light bar tells you two things:

1) How much charge you have in the controller.

2) How much life you have in a videogame.

The biggest issue I see is with number two. You cannot see the lightbar while you're gaming. It on the under side of the controller.

The lack of DS3 compatibility :P

That speaker always gives me a fright, resogun and dead nation have that same chick speaking through the speaker and it always takes me by surprise xD
