Have you liked them in games, and do you think they have potential in future titles?

Personally I like the speaker the most. It's gimmicky but fun.

The speaker is the best thing on the controller, and really the only thing that I see getting continued support across more and more games. The touchpad is meh, and I do like the light bar on the controller.

Touchpad: It's great, and has been well used in most games I have played.

Speaker: Quite cool and can have its uses, but the sound isn't very pleasant.

Lightbar: Looks very cool, just wish it had customisability options.

ive only noticed to speaker once, and thats when i didnt have my headphones on. I love the headphone jack, its great when the battery in my elites dies.

I am Torgo, I take care of the place while the master is away.

"Hes the clown that makes the dark side fun.. Torgo!"

Ha.. i won my bet, but i wasnt around to gloat because im on a better forum!  See ya guys on Viz

They're all ok, wouldn't miss 'em, if they removed 'em though.

I like the touchpad as a mouse. Even though it was used that way only in Final Fantasy 14 until now. But you can also use it on PC. I also really like the light at my PC. It's green when the battery is full, turns slowly into yellow and when it turns red, I know I meed a cable. That is pretty awesome. On the PS4 it doesn't annoy me, but it also doesn't fulfill any purpose at all. It's nice to find the remote in the dark though.

Never used the speaker as I'm always playing with headphones.

They are all minor gimmicks, but all can be really nice if used properly.
The speaker is really cool like in Knack, Resogun, Dead Nation but I rarely use it, cause like Dd_Bwest, I mostly game with my smartphone headset plugged in (the jack input is the best thing about DS4 actually).
Touchpad has potential to be nicely used in weapon swapping, may act like 5 additional buttons by swaping and clicking, and can be the primary way of browsing in the internet browser and OS in general but Sony needs to finally freaking patch it (should have been day 1)
The light is used in a nice way in Outlast and Tomb Raider from what I heard and is used as a tracking device in the Playstation Eye camera games, so it's important. We totally should have an option to dim, or turn it off if the game doesn't actively require it, though. I sometimes use it like a torch when my room is dark lol so there's also that.

So it is happening...PS4 preorder.

Greatness Awaits!

i love how the touch pad can be used to add more buttons in games. I enjoyed using it in Killzone.

They're all cool additions. I saw the IGN Infamous SS gameplay a little bit ago and the guy was explaining that when you absorb things like smoke or neon, the sound effect gets gradually quieter on your TV and louder on the controller. Basically it's supposed to make it feel like you're actually absorbing it. It sounded really cool to me.

I like how the touchpad is implemented in madden, you just press it for timeouts. I also have been playing dead nation (First time playing and it's an AMAZINGGGGG game!) ..... I love the speaker implementation whenever you pick up full life. I also like speaker implementation whenever you pick up an audio log in Killzone.
