I cant wait for the MS PR announcement that Titanfall has had the biggest launch of a next gen game. Than they wont release any info for months since I expect a slight bump in hardware sales. Than a drop off to where they are right now.

Titanfall looks cool but seems like MS is putting all there eggs in its basket. The game will be available on 360 and PC as well. If the 360 version turns out good I will be picking that up but with no real exclusive software besides Titanfall I wont be making the jump to the One for a while.

Give SS a few hundred million in advertising and I bet they would be posting similar pre-order numbers as Titanfall probably even higher.

You cant necessarily compare titles in a vacuum. The genre difference alone is enough to account for the increased sales/preorders, not to mention the region combined with the genre. However, TF is a new IP which makes it more impressive just looking at TF's preorders compared to the install base. To me its essentially a wash just judging preorders but comparing the genres makes this rather silly.

Sure,i can see the Xone winning the US,but it won't be that landslide last gen.Also, Sony will take WW easily,which is an area i am sure MS would like to have.Sony just needs more games ''they are coming '' When i look at Xone i see a more media enrich console not a gaming one.Now on Infamous SS,i am buying it day one i have not pre ordered it because i have a buddy that will take care of me.I just don't see all the buzz about TF the beta did nothing for to buy the game,nor buy a Xone to play it not when i can play it on Pc for much less.So to answer your question,no the Xone isn't doomed..but it isn't off to greatest of starts,but this isn't a sprint it's a marathon.

Zero chance Xbone wins in the US. PS4 will outsell it by a margin of 1.5:1 at least. There are bone thrones piled up all over retailers and you still can't find a PS4 anywhere.

Maybe I am caught up in all of the hype, but I really do see this game pushing XBOne sales past 200k for launch week.

Also, with about 2.5 million consoles available at launch, I think it will be quite likely that Titanfall will do Gears of War type sales of 500k or more in its first week in the US. Gears was launched in the holiday window, so it was able to sustain sales for a number of weeks, reaching about 1.9 million in 10 weeks in the US alone. I don't think Titanfall will do that well in 10 weeks, but I do see it hitting about 1 million in sales (or about a 33% attach rate) in the US.

Worldwide, I think it has a good chance of selling 1 million copies in its first week.

Microsoft just better hope that TitanFall is as great as people are saying, because after that, they have nothing major left.

Simple answer. It's a FPS/shooter. Even with FPS genre being overdone over the last gen, this moment was the best to sell one hyped shooter game. From now on, I believe will start to see a drop on FPS games sales ~
I believe people had enough of it by now.
