I know quite a few (hobby and serious) scientists who would gladly pay $500 for a Kinect2 alone with full pc driver support, Such a thing would cost around $10000 maybe two or three years ago. So if you talk about "value", then the value of a $500 XBox One is VERY consideravly higher than that of a $400 PS4. You just have to ask the right people

This makes no sense. As a gaming machine and device, the xbox one is not worth more than a ps4. The camera for the xbox one really isn't that expensive either. If these scientists wanted it for 500, and I'm not saying they don't because I've seen what's been done with the first kinnect, they'd be more paying for the drivers than the device itself. 

If the PS4 wasn't in the picture, wouldn't the Xbox One be enjoying one of the best console launches, ever? Listen, Ricky Bobby. It's not "First or Last". As long as their making money and the consumer has great games to play, the only place their losing is on the internet forums (and our opinions mean jack).

$/GBP/EUR50 less than PS4 would put Xb one in the lead in UK and USA. But we know from PS3/360 era that even at a cheaper price point the best Xbox can expect in more or less all other markets is to reduce the sales gap, but not overcome it. The global effect will still see PS4 winning, just by not as much as before. I think MS will rapidly drop (officially) to price parity with PS4, but I don't see them driving down to a cheaper price than PS4, at least not while Kinect is bundled in.

Well NPD March showed that even at price parity PS4 will win in US (the strongest Xbone territory)... so my opinion is even more reliable now.

Xbone needs to be $50 cheaper than PS4 to make competition in sales... that means a $150 price cut.

350 For a X1 with or without camera ?

For X1 to legitimately compete it would have to be 299 for X1 with kinex and it would still get out sold in Europe, with exception of Uk of course.

$350 with Kinect and it will start to win where MS needs to win (US and UK)... no price cut will make Xbone sell more than PS4 in Japan, Europe and Rest of the World.

I doubt that these days, march showed how much more the market prefers the PS4.  Even at less of a price its other deficiencies are still there. 

No, it only needs good exclusives, lots of it, and not generic stuff either, I mean edgy, diferent, daring, cool stuff.

As an embarrassed American, I think a 50 dollar price cut would do it. Most of us American gamers would buy a trashcan with a hole in the side from MS! I have stayed Playstation loyal though. For the rest of the world, a 150 dollar price cut sounds about right.
