Forums - Nintendo - Fact is, who bought a Nintendo console, primary want to play games from nintendo!! True story party people

Nope, I wanted to buy a 3DS for Atlus games, more specifically Etrian Odyssey IV. Although I do enjoy Nintendo games :3

Squeezol's Fanclub Member? is that how it works?

Why can't I hold all these no gaemz?

Always looking to improve my awful drawings ;_;

Yes, it was and is a reason to buy the console but without the 3rd party support there is reason for not buying the console. They should have made everything clear before the release of the PS4 and the X1. I bought a Wii U because of Pikmin, Mario Kart and so on. That's the same reason I bought a 3DS but if there isn't anything mindblowing with the next console and handheld or even the same 3rd party support like for the other consoles I don't know what I will do...

I don't hate Microsoft, I don't hate PC,
I don't prefer Sony, I don't prefer Nintendo.
...Ok, I love Nintendo but this is something about tolerance, ok?

I'm a gamer with one of the greatest hobbies and I want to share this greatness with everyone.

Fact is, who bought a Nintendo console, primary want to play games from nintendo!!

That's why it sells too low.

With so many console only multiplaforms games  PC + WiiU isn't a viable combo.

Maby i buy a WiiU when it costs 100 euro or something

what about when the sony/MS fanbase don't purchase third parties? what about when third party's sabotage their own games?

Look at Bayonetta. Sony/MS owners didn't purchase it enough, so the sequel went to Nintendo. That's exactly what happens when the Nintendo fanbase don't purchase third-party games, they stop getting them!

It's hard to purchase what's not on the console. we have seen third party games selling enough on wii u. in some cases, like rayman, it sells on par with the huge bases of ps360. and in the end, there's just a complete lack of professionalism from most third party companies. some of them NEVER released a game for a nintendo console and say BS like "there is no audience".

In Fact all people who buy a Nintendo console today want to play Games from Nintendo primary. For Example..... Zelda, Super Mario, Mario Kart, Smash Brosh, Pikmin, donkey Kong.........

Third party games are only a cool bonus, no more, no less. Is everyone with my opinion? What about you?

Anyone who ever buys a console should be looking at the games they enjoy, first and foremost.  There's really no other reason to buy a console, unless of course you're interested in the all-in-one nature of the One (or the PS3, at the time), which could help tie your AV stuff together into one device.  But, that's not really a gaming concern.

Yes, and that's very unfortunate! Nintendo needs the 3rd parties to stay relevant, a fact some Nintendo fans don't want to acknowledge.

Do they? Nintendo was relevant in the N64 and Gamecube days. Has the industry changed that much? It seems to me that the industry is even more big developer dependent, which will skew things in favor of large first party developers.

Not really true for me. There are exceptions like DK and Zelda, but most of the titles I purchase are third party.

i bought my 3ds for fire emblem and what trigger me more to buy it was the announcement of pokemon x and y

Too bad this kind of mentality is why wii u is in trouble...

well its the correct mentality, its logical that people want to play their favourite multiplatform games to their maximum capability.

its nintendo's fault that wii didnt match ps360 and wii U cant match PS4/X1 on the intensive games. Its their job to adjust to consumers, not the consumers job to adjust to nintendo.

Obviously the main draw for buying Nintendo hardware are the first party exclusives, but one thing i always find with a Nintendo console library is blend. A nice balance of genres, mainly platform games (my fave genre), action adventure, the odd shooter, a few mature games, racers, strategy, puzzle, rpg. The Wii U already has a lot of those bases covered, along with some solid exclusives that are very different to what you find on other systems eg W101, Zombi U. OK 3rd party support is bad compared to other consoles, but for a Nintendo console 3rd party support on Wii U has been decent, with a lot of blockbuster games present. Add the ever growing list of Indie games and my gaming tastes are well and truly taken care of, so i dont feel the need to become a multi console owner this gen.
