So fellow gamers, when do you look at a guide if at all?

I myself tend to play a more story based before I even look at a guide and just enjoy the game and the story and then later look at them if there are some trophies I want to get in a clean up play through. If I'm not that into the game I'll skip looking at a guide and stop playing the game.

I don't consider myself an achievement hunter, but I looked a guide once. For Alone in the Dark. There's a fucking secret achievement that makes you walk without blinking, and another for playing a certain section in first person!

Not being familiar with Alone in the Dark, I'm not sure how challenging that would be.

I look for guides for collectibles. It's a chore to manually search for them. Sometimes for the hidden trophies if I have no idea what they are.

Edit. Ohh and at the soonest after 1st playthrough (in which I don't actively hunt trophies)

It isn't. The problem is, you're tasked with the most weird of tasks and you don't know because the achievement is secret. Meaning they don't explain you what you gotta do.

There's no point in making those two achievements secret.

Hunting for Achievements intrigues me as much as a finding a bear for sex so Majority of the time, I do not look for achievements but I had to look at a guide once a while for some odd occasions (mostly puzzle games)... Usually the only time I watch a Lets Play is after I already beat the game and I want some awesome commentary which I will go to SSopKC

That's a shame, though. If taken the necessary precautions, sex with a bear can be very gratifying.

i look at the trophy guide before even buying the game i have very few games that aren't %100 if theres a game that im only semi interested in the trophy list can make or break it as far as purchases go

when i look at a walkthrough not as often only if im stuck for more that 1/2hr or so collectables guides are mandatory for me as i want to do the least amount of playthroughs as possible

yeah I hate the hidden ones that are just random things that you may or may not do when playing the game.
