Forums - Movies & TV - My oddest movie viewing ever....

I don't care, because I'm there to have fun. I'm usually laughing my ass off really loud during times when no one is laughing, like during intensely violent scenes, and when something is funny, I laugh the loudest. I also clap for a solid minute after end of each picture just to see people's reactions. I annoy moviegoers more than they annoy me.

Pull that shit in America and you could get shot. No joke. Some guy was just texting his daughter and the other guy went out and got his gun, shot him dead in the movie theater.

I went to go see a movie with my mom and dad after school at around 6pm and basically my whole class was there (10+ kids) (the "cool" kids) when i saw them there i was like WTF? GREAT, why are they all here!?!? i was like OMG please don't let them watch the same movie we were going to watch (flight of the phoenix) lo and behold..they walked into the same movie we were watching FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFuuu

basically i wasn't invited/never knew it was even happening and i showed up there with my parents...it was awkward as hell i guess i wasn't cool enough

Well I can tell you now that I'm 31.

Don't worry most of those cool kids become total losers. I grew up with a over wieght sister and she got picked on a lot.   I never really got picked on and I guess i may have been part of the cool club but never shied from new people or different personalities. When i got older I fucked up a few of my sisters Arch enemies and always standed up for people getting picked on.

I was raised to stand up for the person less fortunate or teased, also my sister coming home crying made me very sad as a kid and eventually mad, I hated it. So when I got old enough I let it be known shit was not cool anymore. They got the message. By highschool I hung with a group that was well respected and stuck up for others.

Not sure how many schools have a crowd like this but I hope we made people feel better.  However most of the cool kids fuck each other over and are full of selfish needs. A lot of the so called nerds tend to stick together through life, maybe not all the time but it seems their ties last longer.  My neighbor and I are still really great friends and he was picked on too, he was also 3 years older then me, Not only that but when I got into drugs and lashed out from a very disfunctional family, he was always there. Always.

he kept me from doing many of the things my other friends got into, like hard drugs.  I did do acid, ecstasy, Special K for a little while but went straight around 20. however most of that crowd went to, Crystal meth, Coke, Heroine, you name it.  Now the drugs I did where bad enough. I did loss a few of them and a big portion turned around their lifes oddly enough. Some are lost for good or have bad families lifes with lots of problems.

Moral of the story is, the cool kids usually get it wrong. It's the ones that get teased and mocked that succeed or at least care for people. Not all the time but in my case it is what happened.

So don't worry, your parents are great for wanting to spend time with you and you will look back with pride. Don't worry about the cool kids. Not sure of your age now but keep up the grades, hard work and push forward. It will get better, it always does. It's all perception my friend.

Thanks

it was quite awhile ago like 7 years ago. i was 12, i was never really picked on it just sucks that everyone was invited except me and it was extremely embarrassing. I was kinda the quiet kid, although luckiy never really got bullied

Well its been a long time since last went to the movies almost more then 4 years ago. But the best way to avoid the situation you encountered is to go before 6PM and don't go close to when a movie is first released that way there will be a lot less people in the theater and the chances of running into some weird like that will be less and just by change there is someone weird there you have plenty of other free seats you can move to.

Oh, I thought you had watched Nymphomaniac with your parents!

Watched "The boy in the stripped Pajamas" in the Cinema here which was directly next to a screening of HellBoy2.... also our cinema is fucking terrible so you get sound bleeding from 1 screen to the next during loud scenes so yeah... that Scene with the mother just swinging under the tree after her child has gone missing into the concentration camp pure silence, Could hear Ron Pearlman screaming at the top of his voice followed by a huge explosion from next door, was kinda funny... but ruined the whole movie having Hell boy audio in that.

The town where I grew up in Tauberbischofsheim, Germany only had two cinemas one was only open on a semi regular basis and both of them where pretty lousy.  I also don't miss watching movies dubbed in German when it comes to voice actors Germany has a pretty poor selction of them.  They usually use people that sound nothing like the original actors voices.
