It will, there should be zero doubt about it. XB1 knows who it is catering too, and even tho PS4 will do very well, XB1 still has a sizeable userbase to appeal too.

I don't really post much. I don't know what calling out the number of post I've made since 2007 is suppose to mean. I would just come here just to look at sales. When wii was selling well this place was completely different. A haven for Nintendo fans bashing sony and Microsoft. All screaming Nintendo domination like some war was going on lol. If you cannot see that it was a fluke oh well. Nintendo did this to themselves with the kiddy approach. They could've made a better effort to get 3rd parties and still made their great 1st party titles. As long as companies have sony and Microsoft they won't car about Nintendo. Just the truth

Pay no attention, there are some users here who have a sense of elitism because they have a higher post count. Even though your accuser only has 3900 post since 2008, which is not even remotely close to the highest poster count on this very site. Whether you have 4 posts or over 20,000 it doesn’t matter, all are welcome here from any fanbase. This site has a few tenure users and a lot of users that don’t post, usually they just read through the forum. I’m sure the mods and staff would encourage those users to post more and engage in discussion rather then see the same old banter from the seasoned users. If you or anyone you know want to engage in the threads here, don’t be afraid to speak on it. Have fun here man.  :)



My point was that I didn't like his opinion of the Wii being a fluke and that he hasn't posted similar opinions for the better.... It wasn't that subtle... He got it, not sure why you didn't. Had nothing to do with my post count... People disagree on opinions all the time... You just did it, in fact.

That is true.

At the moment it seems that the next winner is the least inovative (Xone - Kinect, Wii U -gamepad), and is the one that only gives gamers more of the same.  

Is this because they stayed under the radar as Nintendo and Microsoft fumbled during most of 2013?

This uncertainty is the reason why I keep coming back to vgchartz. You never know who will be the one who will succed.

It was. Nintendeo deserves all the credit in the world for it, but everything points to a similar innovation not happening again.

 

Just look at sales.

nes: 60 mil

snes: 40 mil

n64: 30 mil

gcn: 20 mi

wii: 100 mil

wii u: probably 20 mil

 

It certainly was a sales fluke.

Sure, it's from urban dictionary, what other source could I have used? The key word though is occurrence. Many things happened time and again to get support of the casuals and keep that support.

I do not post much either. Been here a long time but selldom have the urge to write. Strange that it is the Wii U gamepad that has made me make more posts lately, it is easier than with the iPad to write while sitting with the family in the living room sofa. 

Anyway my recollection of the Wii-age is a little different: even when the Wii sold the most and seemed unbeatable many was saying it was "kiddie", only had showelvare, bad graphics and useless waggle-control.
