Nothing is a middle finger to early adopters. They know what they are and what the consequences are. Other people might get the product cheaper but they had it from the start. An advantage that can not be measured with money.

I am an early adopter myself(not just consoles but electronics in general) so I know the perks and disadvantages. Any early adopter who complains is a certified idiot.



If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Here's an honest question for prospective X1 buyers. You have just witnessed a price drop for the system in a territory, does this make you more cautious to buy one now? How long would you hold out on the basis of expecting a price drop to arrive in your country sometime this year?

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I'm not even an Xbox fan, but MS had to do something. Pretty strange it's UK only though (Probably the margins are higher due to the pound).

Early adopters in the UK got Forza for free.  Actually depending on the vendor you purchase your X1 from, you had a pick between Fifa14, Forza and even Dead Rising.  So I say no, Early Adopters should get and have the pleasure of playing with their new toy and that really should be enough.  If the console was found wanting, they could alway sell it.

Yeah, it sucks for early adopters, but MS really didn't have a choice in the UK. They're still having strong sales in the U.S., but X1 sales are bombing in Europe overall and the UK used to be their market.

Price cut isn't going to change the fact its a 2nd rate console......it'll just be a cheaper 2nd rate console.

What would be a good will gift for 10% price cut.  They already gave early adopters a free game during launch.  No one really has made a case why you people who bought the console early should get anything.

Moves like this will make the fanbase even more weary of buying their stuff at full price when you know 3 months later the price is 20% lower!!

We've seen pricecuts happen fast after a console flopping in sales, but this is the fastest one i can remember. Nintendo for example, didn't have that ambassador programme for nothing..
