People who bought it early knew what they were getting into especially with all the bad press the x1 has had. They have no one to blame. This is the same as those who bought a ps4 at launch then whine everyday not enough games. Don't buy without researching.

These are the posts we're looking for in this thread, ones that actually discuss the topic at hand. *pats FlamingWeazel's head*

The "lol userbase will react this way!!!" posts are nothing but flamebait, so keep 'em out of your writing style. We've already had to moderate 3 users (including the OP) and we don't want to ban any more folks.

Rolls over on stomach, waiting for a belly rub.

Lol, you'd have to roll over on your back for that.

@ OP

I definitely think MS needs to do some kind of ambassador program.  Heck, Nintendo's cut was 6 months after launch and they offered something to early adopters.  MS should, too.  If not because it's right, then to avoid anymore bad publicity.

Haha what a bunch of cry babies. The only people that should feel bad are the idiots that bought the console at launch. Btw, I'm not calling all early adaptors idiots, just those that are bitching about a price cut.

The problem isn't with being an early adopter or a price cut. The problem is how quickly the price cut arrived.

When you buy a console early you know to expect price cuts, bundles and newer models in the future. You are paying to play the console for an extra X amount of time that the later adopters didn't get. The issue is with how quickly they introduced this price cut. If it was a year later, no one would complain, but 3-4 months in and a price cut along with such a huge bundle is painful for someone who just bought the console just a while ago. Maybe some won't care, but I'm sure there will be a group of people who will feel betrayed by Microsoft for not trusting their own console, or not pricing it right in the first place. They are potentially stepping on the toes of their most dedicated fans.

Well, not that I bought the console at launch, but that's just how I see things.

Moves like this will make the fanbase even more weary of buying their stuff at full price when you know 3 months later the price is 20% lower!!

We've seen pricecuts happen fast after a console flopping in sales, but this is the fastest one i can remember. Nintendo for example, didn't have that ambassador programme for nothing..

10%, stop making up shit

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Early adaptors will feel pissed off, no doubt. But wouldn't they be more pissed off if their expensive console purchase was a complete flop and as such had lost all value in only a short space of time?

It's a little north of 15% to be precise. 470 pounds to 399.

LOL fail, me so dumb.

When the first XBOX came out in my country they were forced to cut the price by 2000 NOK within a month. Early adopters got HALO and a controller
