The problem isn't with being an early adopter or a price cut. The problem is how quickly the price cut arrived.
When you buy a console early you know to expect price cuts, bundles and newer models in the future. You are paying to play the console for an extra X amount of time that the later adopters didn't get. The issue is with how quickly they introduced this price cut. If it was a year later, no one would complain, but 3-4 months in and a price cut along with such a huge bundle is painful for someone who just bought the console just a while ago. Maybe some won't care, but I'm sure there will be a group of people who will feel betrayed by Microsoft for not trusting their own console, or not pricing it right in the first place. They are potentially stepping on the toes of their most dedicated fans.
Well, not that I bought the console at launch, but that's just how I see things.
