Forums - Gaming - Uninstalled Ni No Kuni (semi-review)

You poor thing. Yup. Worst Jrpg game ever made. You dodged a bullet there. Make sure you unistall every other game that gives you trouble, even at the very beginning. Giving a game a chance is a waste of time. It should be either perfect for you and if when it's not, unistall it without a second thought! Those developers really have some nerve making things so difficult. Losing your hard earned coins? The audacity! We play games to have fun, not to do chores, you know!

Good decision.

Game was a masterpiece the only trouble I had was with the very last boss other than that the game was fairly easy.
Lost Odyssey isn't half of what Ni No Kuni is.

Lost Odyssey must really suck then.

LO is amazing and the sole reason I bought my X360. It's what FF12 should have been and well worth a playthrough for any JRPG fan.

I was kidding.  I meant that if it's half of what Ni No Kuni is it must really suck.  I didn't like Ni No Kuni, but unlike the poster I thought it was easy and finished the game(I reviewed it.)

I'm interested in playing Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia, Blue Dragon, and Shadow Complex but instead of buying a 360, I thought I'd just buy the games and emulate them on PC when a working emulator becomes available.  Can't for Shadow Complex since it's digital only, but the other games I'll buy used since you can't find them new.

My suggestion would be to play Dark souls next. Nice relaxing press x to continue gameplay, should get that horrible after taste of that unfairly steep difficulty curve in Ni No Kuni of your mind.

LOL

Lol, no wonder you thought it was hard when your standard is the borefest Eternal Sonata^^

Welcome to the world of JRPGs where grinding is a necessary gameplay mechanic.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

seriously I dont play jrpgs and this game wasnt at all hard wtf?

you do know that theres spells, blue orbs, foods and as I recall a statue where which you could recharge your mana right, plus if you dont have those you could grind out a lil bit unto the next level which recharges everything

you must love Call of Doody

Dont worry wolfofthepack, we are proud of you. You took a bullet for the team on this one. Im sure Barozi knows you speak the truth but he must do his job

How the hell do you die twice in the first dungeon on easy? And how the hell do you run out of mana in the first dungeon? You even get blue orbs that refill mana in battles now and then. There certainly are legitimate complaints that can be made about the game, but yours can be boiled down to you just being horrible at the game and having the patience of a little kid.

The only JRPG that gave me any trouble this past gen was Resonance of Fate. Just couldn't get use to the battle system.

Maybe if you submit your "review" to Level 5, they'll put a very easy mode in the sequel just for you. Where everything is handed to you and the game just plays itself. All you would have to do is either pop in the disc or click download provided it's a digital version, pick up the controller and hit play. Now that last part might be hard but with a little luck, you might be able to pull it off..

there is an easy mode already actually.   i dropped down to easy mode about 20 hours in when i figured out that the gameplay was really, quite bad.  the game is soo much more fun when you don't play it but just blaze through on the way to the next cut scene.

there are just too many poor design choices in this game.

Don't insult little kids. My 4 year old had no problem with the first dungeon.
