Forums - Nintendo - Despite selling poorly, my Walmart gave Nintendo four sections for games.

Here in Australia businesses pay for premium shelf space. Nintendo are paying for shelves for DK Tropical Freeze at the moment in JB Hifi and EB Games.

I think they did it because of demand.. every day his walmart is being asked about the WiiU.. they'll be dissappointed to find out it was Spurgey all this time and..

lol

Maybe because 3ds games are selling well in your region ?

In my country, normally shops keep the biggest sections for Xbox360, then Nintendo 3Ds, Nintendo Wii/WiiU, XboxOne, PS3, and PS4 (when there is a PS4 section, some shops do not have it)

And then someone will ask: what about the Vita... well.... most shops has only a very tiny section of Vita games, with 5-6 boxes, but many have just given up selling them.

Well obviously there's still 3DS which isn't selling so shit, plus as has been pointed out platform holders will often pay stores for a certain amount of shelf space, so I assume that if Nintendo coughed up enough then Wal-Mart would be willing to give them a disproportionate amount of space

why don't people ever take pictures of this? always these types of threads, no pictures

Sony and Microsoft have to share two sections.

Wonder why?

What happened to your walmart removing WiiU's from the inventory?

Is walmart not selling WiiUs but keeps selling the games?  Odd decision.
