I am going to laugh my ass off so hardly if this thread reaches 1000 replies.

The only thing that can stop that now is if it gets locked by a mod. ;)

I wonder if someone will actually try to ask a mod to lock this thread now that you brought this up!

Honestly, it probably needs to be locked. Mr Khan said he would a while back if things didn't improve (they haven't) yet here we are, haha.

I think  this thread should first reach 1000 replies  before it gets locked.. I mean it would be kinda BS to lock this thread now that it is so close to 1000 replies!

Yup its gettin old your bias towards nintendo knows no bound.you ignore the facts and you just defend  the hardware based on your thoughts of why the hardware is struggling, you always seem to find a excuse,no matter what, ignoring posters that  actually know what they talking about because it not what you want to hear

I take the side of common sense and logic.

It's common sense that a system early in its lifespan, with no ground-up exclusives made to push graphics, will not have shown its full power.

It is common sense that multiplatform games made for architecturally different systems with 6-7 years of extra dev experience on their side will not be an accurate measure of Wii U's power, especially when their lack of higher res textures despite having twice as much RAM shows them to be lazy ports.

It's not common sense that devs copy paste their code from one console to an other.

The PS3 and 360 are two very different beasts. You can't copy-paste a code for one to make it work on the other. One console is based on Cell and Nvidia, while the 360 is based on PowerPC and AMD (strangely enough, the Wii U is also based on PowerPC and AMD). Yet you cling to that stupid argument. You have a silly excuse for everything when it comes to Nintendo consoles. And you clearly don't have the faintest idea how games are developed. Yet you try to pass your assumptions as facts, trying to pass as someone who's logical with great common sense. Even when you're shown how silly those assumptions of yours aren't logic, you have a silly excuse for that possible scenario.

You clearly have no idea how developers have to work. And you'll have an excuse again to explain how the Wii U is unfamiliar to developers, even if the 360 shared the same setup.

This is pretty much common sense. You also forgot how some of the time Wii U ports come from off branch studios, such as COD Ghosts and Arkham Origins to name a few. Also the lack of dlc devs have shown really shows how much effort they are putting in porting their games to the Wii U

Oh well, Bayo 2 and X are coming, and if 3D World and W101 are anything to go by these games are gonna really show what Wii U games that have actual effort put into them can do. Even if only rendered at 720p, they will have solid gameplay with a solid framerate.

Cell is based in Power PC too. It is common sense that devs, in order to cut costs, they often copy paste code, how dou you explain the sloppy ports that PS3 had in the beggining?

maybe it was because they didnt know PS3, but the same can be applied to WiiU.

actually 360 and WiiU are similar in the components....but thats where their similarities end.

You have to understand what huge benefits WiiU gets for being all in a MCM and eDram on die

Of course. And having that setup is supposed to make things easier for devs, not harder. ¬_¬

Why are you getting so worked up? It's only the internet dude.

Devs are intimately familiar with PS3/360, their engines have been  tailored to them over nearly a decade. Wii U is architecturally different so copy+pasting PS360 material over with zero effort produces poor results.

PS4/Xbone are more powerful, so they can brute force it. Also, devs actually tried with PS4/Xbone; they got properly made ports that took advantage of their hardware, (something Wii U only got with Need for Speed and Trine 2) not to mention ground-up exclusives designed to push the hardware. (Something Wii U still does not have)

No one's getting worked up but when you pull out a lie to excuse something don't just expect to get away quietly.

Are devs not familiar with PC where the WII U derived it's GPU from ? Just because it's architecturally different to PS360 doesn't mean that it's not familiar. Almost all the devs have prior experience to the VLIW5 setup and they also have 10 years of experience on ibm gecko so you really can't call it unfamiliar.
