Sales =/= quality either. The mass market just isn't into JRPGs any more.

Well not mass market, just the market altoghether. And if the market doesn't like it and only so few like it, then it isn't very good is it? It is the same as trying to flog a 1950's film now - the market has moved on and now deems that to be a bit crappy.

So now mass market popularity = quality? Keep the lolz coming.

So you can't read?

I said market, not mass-market. Mass market would be Skyrim sales of 10+ millions. Not even hitting a million on a platform that has 100 m on it? That means less than ONE PERCENT want the game. That isn't mass market - that is just a dead product that no one wants.

Looks good for a last gen console.

Same can be said about NFS Rivals, CoD Ghosts, AC4 and any crossgen game on XboxONe and PS4. So what, it has more to do with limited budget and deadlines.

Lol, what? No, it has to do with limited hardware.

rmmm NO it has to do with limited time, manpower and money to make a game that fully uses the capabilities of the HW.  How would you explain inferior ports on PS3 then?

Its a bit silly that you dont know what you are talking about. The combat is Xenoblade is nothing like Xenogears and Xenosaga.

Do I know what X looks like?  Yes I do from viewing the footage this thread linked to. So I do know what I'm talking about.  Just to make sure that you understand I am talking about how the game looks. You may not like what I've taken away from it and probably find your own personal opinion more valid.  Rainbows and Sparkles for you.

They may want to come up with a different naming scheme if they don't want people comparing them.  HMM that is a very interesting statement cause what somone said earlier about the battlesystem sounded very similar to Xenosaga sans the basic attacks happen on their own.  Not that it matters. I'll leave you people whom are so sure you know every detail about an unreleased game to talk about it with each other.

I see you're a glutton for punishment.

I will make this pretty simple for you. You have no idea how it feels to play the game. I had no idea what to expect of Xenoblade when i first played it. I thought it was gonna be completely different. That i was gonna be mashing buttons. Its not the case. This combat system does not lend itself to hunting games. Its a more strategic combat system.

Quite honestly, the game would suck if it was a hunting game with that combat system. It just wouldnt work. Therefore, i very much doubt thats what they are going for. Multiplayer component? Yeah that can definitly be made. Hunting game, where you control your slashes, stamina bar, weak points... err no. Nowhere in sight.

You more you talk, the more its clear you don't know what you're talking about. Then again, considering you weren't even aware of one of the most well known JRPGs of the past generation...

That's just Xenoblade in HD with Mechs, just like Titanfall is CoD next-gen with Mechs. Nothing impressive, not even remotely close to FFXV trailer.

I know, not one linear hallway, how dare they! Monolithsoft obviously doesn't have any idea about what JRPG fans want.  This game is about 99% too much open World for my taste. And having options like switching weapons on the fly with both characters and mechs, what a bunch of IDIOTS. Also, online multiplayer, more like "yawnline multiplayer". Who needs that when I can play a game by myself.

You know the only thing SE needs to do to complete my life? Another Lightning game. Let's make it happen SE.

I would explain it like this: You're in denial.

Don't know what your problem is. I said it looks good. I didn't say it looks crappy and i also didn't say it will be a shitty game.

Hunting Season is done...

Ah right, you are one of those forum people who ignores everything posted and all logic and try to go on a tangent on circular logic. Ok - have fun with that. I'll keep my stats and facts for someone who can atually use them.
