This is honestly what a I wanted Xenoblade to be. It needed mechs so badly. I'm amazed it was so well received as it felt like a generic JRPG without the mechs.
The UI and all those numbers popping up are ugly as hell. Still looks great, loving the scale. i with enemies were more responsive to damage though.

Guess Suikoden 2 sucked as well, it sold less than Xenoblade Chronicles by nearly 25%.

Guess Lunar the Silver Star is also a shitty jrpg, even worse than Xenoblade. (And it's a well known fact that Xenoblade was an extremely limited release in the US, the biggest market for videogames.)
Facts and numbers, you're welcome.
why all this crap comments guys??
It looks great and i want to play it. Let's hope it's no mmo. It's my most anticipated game and it looks like xenoblade on steroids. So yes for me.
Graphically looks last gen if not a bit better, e3 trailer was more impressive.
Gameplay wise i don't understand how it actually works, or the player is really skilled or the game doesn't seem that hard. I don't like the heavy focus on gunplay as well as the animations of the guns. It's gameplay reminded me of the ff15 demo and that was much more smouth and impressive.
Did anyone notice that at 1:19, when the enemy attacks, it destroys the mecha's left arm? the player only uses simpler one handed weapons after that.
This is just awesome. we already knew you could hit specifc enemy parts and even cut off limbs. now we know the opposite is somewhat true.

XV looked like XIII, limited explorable areas and one player with one weapon. X is online multiplayer, sandbox, and much more diverse in combat. if smoothness (which I felt was no smoother than X) is all you're looking for (because you give no examples for impressiveness) then keep swallowing the S-E gravy.
The battle looked super boring. The enemies don't even flinch when you hit or shoot at them.

Lol, kind of petty reasoning. The other trailer (Jan 2013 direct) have shown the monsters flinching plenty, as well as parts of their bodies being severed and bloody. But hey, can't make everyone happy all the time I guess.
