I doubt we'll see a price drop until the Fall of 2015. Instead, bundle values will increase.

Personally, I'll wait for a deal, be it price drop or Black Friday special. If a great deal comes along, I might jump early. I have a PS3 and a PC so I'll be fine. Also, I'll be building up PS+ PS4 games in the meantime, which is going to be rather awesome.

Since this is the cheapest playstation console, dont expect a price drop within 1 year, maybe even 2. Xbox on the other hand could do with a $50 pricecut around the summer.

I expect some good bundles this holiday for PS4, but no official price drop. I do expect them to drop the price on september 2015 though and by a 100 dollars/euros.

With all the current demand I'd doubt before 12months at least. voted Spring-Summer 2015, maybe just 75$ though.

You realize Winter 2014 is now?  Or do you mean in December of this year.

I think it will be a while, like a year an a half or more, before the price drops.  If adjusted for inflation, the PS4 is still quite a bit less expensive than the PS3 was.   And almost the same price as the PS1 if you ajust for inflation.



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Next spring unless Titanfall doubles the Xbone's sales and it starts killing it. If that happens, expect a $349.99 PS4 this fall.

Winter is now, but it started back in September/October 2013.  Winter 2014 starts this September/October.  We're just coming out of winter right now, going into spring.

They are probably just going for a $499 bundle with a Vita or maybe a $399 with a game for the next two years.
