I thought it was obvious... GT5/GT6

Isn't GT5 1080x1280, and GT6 1080x1440, not 1080x1920? (True 1080p)

1080p means 1080 rows progressive... no matter how much columns it had it is still true 1080p... what change the columns is the aspect ratio... so in 16:9 1080p means 1920x1080.

GT5 is 1280x1080 and GT6 is 1440x1080... both are true 1080p games just not the 16:9 aspect ratio...

I'm pretty sure "true" 1080p refers to 1080x1920.

Maybe I'm thinking of the 1080x1920 label of "Full HD", which GT5/6 aren't.

Yeap Full HD is what you are looking for... 1920x1080

Around the Network

Super Mario Galaxy which is 480p/ 60fps.  For me it's beautiful enough despite being an early game of  a console not known for being a hardware beast.

Just for the record, "i loved x for y old system, and that wasnt high res" is a silly way to think about current consoles and future games, sure you loved those games despite the lower resolutions, but as technology progresses as does our expectations, they follow hand in hand.

Unless of course you guys are going to say "i would hand on heart pay full retail for a console that uses RF as its default video output".

720p 30FPS I guess?? Look at my sig.

Game of the year 2017 so far:

5. Resident Evil VII
4. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
3. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
2. Horizon Zero Dawn
1. Super Mario Odyssey

I'd be happy paying retail price for an SNES if I couldn't easily get one cheaper. And if I didn't already have one from 1994 that still works. ;)

Mega Man X. I have the Pal version running at 50 Hz, so it's 50 fps I guess. As for the resolution, I have no idea.

So, you're trying to tell me if a new console launched today, with the same spec as the snes, you would willingly pay the asking price of $199 for it?

1080p@60fps

Haha. I love that game!

I lol'd

Metroid Prime: 480p/60fps

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door: 704x576 (800x600 internal) at 50 fps (or 60 if played in PAL60hz mode)
And I'll throw in my personal number two: Fire Emblem: Awakening: 800x240 (400x240 without 3D) + 320x240 at 30 - 60 fps (depending on situation in game and 3D on/off)
