Its impossible to defend Nintendo or validate their excuses anymore. They fucking screwed up and those of us who paid for the console full price, are suffering it. Could have waited a year or so and paid half the price.

Stupid me, I have learnt my lesson

I got mine on January 3rd for 250$ canadian.  I had a 50$ gift card so it was a good deal at 200$.

Nintendo started the Ambassador program as a thank you to people who bought the 3ds early and it also worked to raise awareness of the system, which in turn helped with sales.  Why hasn't Nintendo done this with the Wii U?  I'm a little jealous of 3ds users right now getting Four Swords for free! :)

At least the ones that got at launch could enjoy the famicon 30th aniversary promotion.

Anyway i was expecting mario kart in april too, but it seems nintendo don't think they should invest more on wiiu, just live trough it while trying to use the 3DS and QOL to not go under. Anyway, Yoshi Yarn is not expected to 2014 guys, stop saying so.

And maybe the third sonic exclusive come sooner than we think. And don't worry, in the worst case we will problably get steel diver: subwars in the mean time, hahha(altough is not yet clear if the game will be for wiiu).

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."

Yea, I feel like a second tier consumer. They have done whatever they could to reach out and grab potential consumers attentiob, but they habent done SHIT to keep their current owners happy or as a thenk you for your confidence and support.

Im growing weary of Nintendo as time goes by. Patience has its limits.

With the Wii, NOA was pushing the console constantly.  Reggie was everywhere.  With the Wii U it's as if all of Nintendo has gone silent.  All info is coming from Iwata through the Nintendo Directs.  Reggie was out there pushing the Wii hard, I know he did his best with DKC:TF recently but why is he in hiding these days?

A very simple explanation for this, Reggie is Ethomaz in disguise...

He's been here all along.

Here's an idea for Nintendo...

All games that they produce that would normally sell a million or less copies, release them on the Wii U and 3ds at the same time. Double your profit potentially, expand the Wii U's and 3ds's library for minimal development time and cost. Obviously the other side effect would be no more threads on forums about Nintendo's next draught.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

WTF!? when is SSB, X, bayo 2, yosh yarn coming!?

ok i hope ps4 club would welcome me when tekken 7 is released....

A Nintendo console will always have droughts, but that said, games like Wonderful 101 and Assassin's Creed IV have sold what? Like 150k copies on a userbase of about 5 million? That means 95%+ of Wii U owners haven't played these games and they're perfectly fine titles that would fill in OK as you wait for DKC or Mario Kart.

Try something new for a change.

Sad thing is I think Nintendo has lost a lot of it's more diversified buyers, back in the day original 2nd party games or even good 3rd party software could sell, and even on the N64. But with the GameCube Nintendo seemed to lose this Nintendo fan to Microsoft or Sony and they've never come back.

Now Nintendo's just stuck with a bunch of fanatics that have Mario/Zelda/Pokemon/DK tunnel vision and won't support things like F-Zero or Wonderful 101 or just about any third party game. Even things like Pikmin are a tough sell and Bayonetta will likely flop.

i dont know. many have done this and the result has been 2 hampered products because of dead lines and budget restrains...that often have underperformed

look at Sonic Lost world. it has sold 400k combined. it looks like it will be lucky to hit a MIL

Nintendo has no issues with delaying a product until it's fully cooked.  I don't see how this would be a problem for them.

In actuality they are doing this right now with Smash Brothers.  My suggestion has them doing it with their lower selling games.

Nintendo has been rushing products as of late due to bad yearly results and underperforming HW, i dont want that to be the norm but the exception.

I think reputation and honor is the only thing Nintendo has as of today to compete.oh and pockets full of doug!

Rushing products?  Give us an example please because from what I've seen their games are as good as ever.

Just listening to some Star Fox music right now...  I WANT STAR FOX WII U :)

Sadly I think Star Fox is exactly the type of project Nintendo probably isn't going to touch on the Wii U anymore with these sluggish sales. Not really a great outlook to make a profit. Maybe 3DS.
