Looks at 2014.....just Nintendo made games.

This looks about right actually. Anybody expected differently?

I've been enjoying catching up on WiiUShop titles. Just picked up Knytt's Underground. Mutant Mudds is next. Sometimes there's too much to play and I never feel like I get to enjoy all the games. Sporadic Nintendo releases and a constant, surprising flow of decent EShop games/VC games is enough for me.

But seriously, I think the third parties resent Nintendo for their craftsmanship as well as the fact that another horse in the race dilutes their cashflow. It's far easier for them to make simple iOS/Android games and to pour massive amounts of cash into the HD Twins than to create a unique experience that has to compete with Nintendo's level of quality.

I think people expected more Nintendo games. Nintendo needs to start spending that warchest on expanding their dev teams or buying more studios. 2 games in 5 months isn't going to cut it.

I agree, but let's hope their next Nintendo Direct announces some new games for the Wii U. I'd be very glad with a Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon and Zelda: Majora's Mask remake for the Wii U(and also a 3DS port for MM). It wouldn't take long to make those games, but it's probably wishful thinking. They could let third parties make those remakes. This would also improve their relations with third party studios. 

Farm out some of your IPs to third parties, mostly remakes, and maybe later they'll actually make an effort in releasing their own IPs on the Wii U. As we've seen with Wind Waker HD and Ocarina of Time 3D, remakes are a relatively safe investment for both Nintendo and third party studios.

CastleStorm was release on Dec 26, 2013 and Unepic release Jan 16, 2014 and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is release today. Eshops game will have to fill the void for WiiU gamers.

Every WiiU owner should check the super indie sale, pick any of the games that they haven't had a chance to play yet. I'm personally going to get Mighty Switch force! tonight.

Today we get a free copy of Zelda: four sword on 3DS.

The people saying Nintendo needs to create a bigger work force or add teams are completely off point. Nintendo doesn't need to do that, they need to get more third party support. Think about it. How many first party games are PS4 and Xbone gamers getting? Are they getting them once a month? No? Then why is it no one is bitching? Could it be because they both have alot of third party games in between? Am I ever going to stop this paragraph without asking questions?

Nintendo needs to spend and spend big on third party support. If they can figure that out, Wii-U will outsell the Gamecube and become relevant.

Expect to see alot more doom threads with all these droughts.

I'm sure Nintendo has more unannounced games, no need to panic. And most of the ones that we are getting look absolutely amazing.

Being sure is not knowing a fact.  You may think its amazing looking but others may not, also most games look amazing.  But few actually are.

Its rather dry out there, hopes and wishes do not change that now nor in the future.  Legitamate info may make a better impression as far as the dry spell ending.
