MS knows what they're doing. Gears have sold a collective 20mn units across four games (not counting digital sales), so it obviously have great potential for re-releases, new iterations, spin-offs and such.

Many of their decisions have been artocious and failures..Their profit largely comes from a decades old Windows monopoly and licensing. MS are not perfect, especially when it comes to gaming and buying studios/ip's. Because they make money does not mean every decisions they make is infallable.

the first part of that statement had me thinking you were going to say something along the lines of MS got thier moneys worth or its a great IP,  the First Gears was ok, for me i dont like third person shooters at all so for me i hate this franchise just as much as i hated Socom

First, you dotn know the current Microsoft very well.

bolded... of course not... just the vast majority of them are right... and more than most other companies.

I know them very well, without their decades old monopoly they would be nobody. There newer products are way behind the competition, and often are borderline failures.

I think Epic did all they wanted to do with the series, and thought it would be best to sell Gears of War to a company much more motivated to continue it.

I don't think the gear's franchise has much life in it left so I think Epic made a good deal getting rid of it. It all depends on the price.

Doesn't change a thing, you're just trying to deflect for MS sake. Point still stands.. They even manged to mess up the one area its almost impossible to in windows, when you have a monopoly how do you launch such loathed OS's? Game for windows live was another colossal mistake of not knowing the consumers needs. X1 reveal was a major blunder..and on and on.

 

Sony has been mismamaged, I admit that, not sure why some find it so hard to see MS has fallen behind and made many mistakes the last 10 + years,.

 

It sure is cute how you keep bringing up their results though lol.
