Hm... too bad. On the other hand a win is more fun if the other side puts on a good fight.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
After kinect shaped many core gamers into casual games believers
and after the former Anti-Christ Blu Ray entered xbox 1
now the dead and gone Gears of Wars was ressurected
The ultimate return of the lost son?
xb1 becomes more a more a mystical religious thing of forgiveness, tolerance and unexpected point of view changes.
Never thought gaming could be so spiritual(incl. all contradictions that comes with it)
I think the right move by MS ,as loosing Mass Effect wasn't really smart at all+ gears belong to the xbox .
I would of loved to have played the old gears on the ps4 but guess not. It could have been worse, Microsoft could of invested in something relevant.

This is from last year: Microsoft's recently revealed Black Tusk Studios is working on not one but four different unannounced IPs, at least according to the resume of senior product manager and planner, Jonathan Browne. |
Wow huge studio, that's pretty cool. I guess this means they are at 5 IPs now.
Thanks for the info
Platinums: Red Dead Redemption, Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, Terminator Salvation, Uncharted 1, inFamous Second Son, Rocket League
Good news I guess, not sure where they can go with the series they kind of wrapped it up after 3.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

I doubt it. From all the comments and staff departures at epic, it sounded more like gears was being put on the backburner while they worked on something new. I think microsoft would have been happy to keep paying epic for exclusive rights if they wanted to make the game. It is probably more likely that MS aquired the ip rights so that they could get a gears game out sooner rather than later.

Gears ended. There's no point on going forward considering how things ended up in Gears 3. It wouldn't even make sense to create a new war considering only a few COG and stranded people are alive at that point, and the rest of the planet is pretty much dead. Judgment tried to capitalize on the E-Day and it failed. There's no point in keeping this series - for now - alive. It should be dormant. |
You are not catching my point. I am not comparing how good the games are or if they are sequels or not. I am stating that new games with their name are in the same Universe. I am saying that a new game does not have to use any of the same characters or even mechanics but instead stay within the Universe. This keeps the games from going stale if they continue to do the same thing over and over again like a COD or even Battlefield sequel.
As for a new Gears game, who said it had to be a new war with the same enemies or using the same characters. Its MS IP now, they can go any direction they want and if they smart they will take the game to a new direction but keep the popular mechanics and modes people liked.
Hopefully it is like Gears 1. I found that one to be the best on in the series. It was very dark and very gritty.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
