Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft acquired Gears of War rights. Black Tusk to develop the games

Some of them were very good!

I think exploring Adam Fenix would be a great idea.  Having said that there is an awful lot of depth to Marcus that isn't fleshed out in the games - exploring where he goes after the war (emotionally as much as anything else) could be excellent.

Yes and humanity still needs to rebuild.  It is very possible that there would be locust stragglers too.

Anyways, id like to see them continue with Marcus as the protagonist as he is my fav

Remember those threads with Sony fans getting hyped over what seemed to them 100% chance that the next gears of war will be on ps4? I gotta find those and get a good laugh XD
What's even funnier is that most of these guys will probably revert to "meh, GoW isn't that good" mode.

It's sour grapes.  Human nature.

you do know what you do with sour grapes right?

enlighten me

you squash them with your feet and make tasteless wine from them

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Got their work cut out. The franchise is in serious need of a lift, judgement was awful imo.

I think they need to go darker and even more gritty.

Everything about Judgement just screamed 'clumsy' aye?

I feel like purchasing the series outright really was taking it off Epic's hands at the right moment, or even a bit late.

Epic clearly felt like they couldn't stop making games for a franchise so profitable, but their heart wasn't in it anymore.

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

Hoorray?

I love Gears, but honestly, the series should end, now. There's no room for more games unless they feel like a forced cash-in. Judgment, for what it was, was good; but the human vs human online was awful.

No, this series should rest. Ignore a complete generation, just like Killer Instinct ignored the 360, and then come back onto their next console, if there's any after the X1.

Based on the press, gears of war series sold (or shipped) more than 22 millions. Does it mean VGC undertracked them?

New thread?

You can create... it is news worthy but VGC seems on tack with 21.71m sold.

One of the next gen consoles just got interesting to me.

100% yes.

And add some horror sequences like in Gears 1 when you faced a Berzerker for the 1st time

Bold - and probably smart - move by MS. Depending on how much they paid, of course. But part of me thinks GoW was such a success because it was new and fresh. I'd almost rather they spent the cash on a fresh new idea, a GoW for the new generation.

Smart move. The series has somewhat dedicated fanbase and brand value.

Here is a old thread related to this. Was amusing and made me giggle. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=155901&page=1

Here is Sales2031. He is not interested in Gears anymore. Wonder if he'll chance his mind.
