wheren't they the ones alongside 343 to work on multiple projects? (due to number of employees?)

Idk how big their studio is so idk.  All i know is that in 2012 they were 55 and growing.  Victoria got relocated in 2013 to make them even bigger.  I assume at least 150+, very possibly 200+ with the Victoria relocation

is this a recent quote?

...building up a big franchise only to discard it before it releases to use the gears IP seems, weird.   either they already have two teams or maybe their existing game will be reskinned with the gears IP.   i just can't see them putting all the work to "build the next halo" only to pick up the gears IP...

wheren't they the ones alongside 343 to work on multiple projects? (due to number of employees?)

as a primarily sony fan i just don't know.  i have a hard enough time keeping track of how many teams each sony studio has that i just don't even try with the nintendo/ms studios.

Remember those threads with Sony fans getting hyped over what seemed to them 100% chance that the next gears of war will be on ps4? I gotta find those and get a good laugh XD
What's even funnier is that most of these guys will probably revert to "meh, GoW isn't that good" mode.

It's sour grapes.  Human nature.

you do know what you do with sour grapes right?

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

Now the tones will change completely among the fans of both consoles. Sony fans will not care about the franchise, and Xbox fans who used to say that this franchise was dead, will cheer and party again.

Or Sony fans will say Gears of War is the one good franchise that was exclusive to Xbox but it's not worth purchasing an Xbox One for.  That'd be me, btw.  I like Gears of War, but there's less than 10 exclusives on the 360 I'm interested in so I never did pick another one up.

But anyways, starting to look like another eight years of the same four franchises over and over again this gen for Microsoft.

They need a new franchises that will do for the Xbox One what Gear of War did for the X360, not actuall Gears of War games.

Really?? FUCKING REALLY?? Nothing new coming from Black Tusk =( Never cared for GoW, was hoping Black Tusk would do something new and innovative. Big plus for MS to lock down the series though

Hmm, idk then.  They siad they were working on multiple projects so i would assume that is still the case but im just basing it off of what theyve said and nothing is ever confirmed until an actual announcement.

The team certainly sounds big enough to have been working on multiple projects.

I suppose we will find out at E3. If theyre working on another exclusive, then E3 has to be the place we find out.

i'm sure you can find a counter example but, at least for me, a lot of my excitment over those "we own the franchise" and "we can put it whereever we want it" comments was really just the idea that epic puts their next game on a PS console.   they're a good studio that put half (or more) of their games exclusively on xbox last gen.  so long as epic's next game is multiplat i could care less if it is gears or something else.  whatever it is there is a high chance it is a good game.

it is the ideal model these days game one finished year one cashflow, game two finishes year two cashflow, and game 3 year 3 another cashflow.

instead of 1 game every 2,5 years and one cashflow
