Sweet on the One i get to KEEP my crappy 1990's game.

That doesnt make sense. It comes out Summer 2014. Meaning this time round games will still be £25/$40 brand new. So we will get launch games worth $40 in sumer absolutely free. And 2 per month. Or maybe 1 per month and 1 $15 Live title like Max The Curse Of the Brotherhood.

This time round imo Live Gold destroys PSN+ Rental service. As Xbox players are actually getting up to date free games. FREE.

What's worth $40? The WHOLE XBONE LINEUP was at $40 on launch week and Black Friday, LMAO.

And you Xbox fans only see plus a rental service, but you dismiss THE DISCOUNTS. I got Tales of Xillia, a game from August 2013, Puppeteer a game from September, and Limbo also an awesome game, all for $20. Can you get a similar combo of awesome recent games for $20 on Xbox Live? LMAO, NO. Ni No Kuni, the RPG of the year was at $13.99, Deus Ex Director's Cut for $20, etc etc, Xbox Live can't even compare.

Actually, XBL Gold has pretty great discounts, too.  Full retail games forabout $5 sometimes.  It's just that nobody here ever makes a thread about it.

That's not true. I've seen plenty of those threads during my time here. There was even one today: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=176717&page=1#

But are those discounts only for Gold users or for all?

Making threads is a recent thing here--I think we made a couple in December.  Sometimes they're just for Gold.  Sometimes, they're for everybody.  Just like PSN.

I hope it gets better. By the time I get an Xb1 I would like a good service so I could hopefully get some exclusives I don't have to buy. Currently though PS+ destroys GOG by a huge margin. It's like a tank fighting a prius.

They're giving out games from the 90s? That's awesome, the golden era of games.

This will(.......should) all shift as X1 continues to lose ground against PS4. I wouldnt be surprised if Sony gave a bit less(now they are #1) and MS a bit more and we will see decent middle of the road offerings on both systems.

I can imagine that all of the generosity with PS+ on the PS3 was just to get people used to paying for PS+. I hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling that later in the PS4's life we won't be getting the same AAA quality free games. Just indie stuff. Indie stuff is good, but it's no Uncharted 3 (which I just downloaded) or Metro Last Light (which I'll download next month).

those are just for gold

but yeah you have some for everybody.... but most great discounts are for gold only

and like I said even before free game with/for? gold my 30-40 bucks 12 month sub of gold was largely covered by the discounts and the reward points I accumulated over the years.... I even get cash back every time I spend 10 bucks now just for having a gamerscore over 35k and will get even more cash back once over 75k

don't get me wrong PS+ is great... but I never got XBL to get free stuff in the first place yet I cover its cost with discounts and now free games.... and like I said looking at the list of games on PS+ ... 90% of the games I would have been interested in I already had purchased by the time they got to PS+... to me it should be used for less famous games that got overshadowed during their launch by big games... or at least a one big title and the rest with smaller release... but that's because I game a lot or I buy a lot of games now that's just me of course.... but I hardly see the benefit of AAA games on PS+ or GfG if you are a hardcore gamer.... you more than likely have those games already by the time they are released for free...

Weeeelll... if what i heard about you beeing able to keep the games even if you finish your subscription is true, then yes it is better than Playstation +.

The difference beeing Gold will actually give you free games, while PS+ just lets you rent them. I rank property has more valuable than limited ownership. But, the renting one does offer better titles. But, that makes sense given how the systems work.

When was the last time you went back and played a really old game that you've beaten? Everyone barks out about "renting" games but seriously, after beating Uncharted 1, for example, has anyone decided 5 years later that they want to play it again? I know when I was done with that game...I just sold it because I'd rather have money than let it sit on my shelf, since I wasn't playing it anymore.

Yea, it's better to "own" the game, but let's be practical here. Everybody that's played a game, beaten it over and over and over again, isn't gonna want the game 4-5 years from now, so to trivialize PS+ because you're just "renting" the game seems kinda silly

And let's just say you do want to play a really old game, but your subscription is up. In 4-5 years, imagine what other games are gonna be free on PS+, which would justify resubscribing.....then you get your old game back.

Lol, he only mentions Brothers.

Thats because Bioshock Infinite, DmC, Enslaved, Smart As, Dyad, Don't Starve and a few of the others in addition to Brothers for just Jan '14 (if you consider PS3, PSV, and PS4) are just not good.

Meanwhile on XBL Gold, I think they offering Perfect Dark Zero for free ??? Or something else from those first couple of years of X360.

Microsoft owes their community so much more for all the nickel and diming.

IMO Xbox Gold Games starts on The One in Summer 2014? Meaning the first games are only 6 moths old. So on the Xbox One at least this program imo is far better than PSN+ as users will be getting 2 games a month still worth £25 each brand new and TO KEEP, NOT Rent.

On 360 it started really late, and so we got games worth nothing and already played. But now we get games up to date and still worth money brand new.

IMO Ill take a free copy of DR3 in June to keep and then say Crimson Dragon? Thankyou Microsoft for saving me £50/month on games I would have waited longer to purchase.

So a service that doesn't exist right now is better than one that gives players free games every month? Ok. Not sure how that works out.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
