Sweet on the One i get to KEEP my crappy 1990's game.

That doesnt make sense. It comes out Summer 2014. Meaning this time round games will still be £25/$40 brand new. So we will get launch games worth $40 in sumer absolutely free. And 2 per month. Or maybe 1 per month and 1 $15 Live title like Max The Curse Of the Brotherhood.

This time round imo Live Gold destroys PSN+ Rental service. As Xbox players are actually getting up to date free games. FREE.

IMO is the correct wording. I like that Xbox live lets you keep the games. I wish PSN+ would do the same.

I guess at this point its about what one servise is providing and the other one talking about eventually doing something. Its Microsoft so you need to take everything with a grain of salt.

Yep IMO.

Obviously ultimately all the squabling that will ensue for this thread is pointless. Xbox gamers get to keep free games. PS gamers get to complete free games. Noone will really care in the end.

As hard as it is for me to say this...I agree with you

Everyone on Earth who plays current video games knows PS+ destroys GwG including MS and Sony employees.

...aaaand, Nintendo employees?

I'm interested to see what they do with the XBONE. It's so new that they can't just give out big retail games like they've been doing on 360. PS4 is in the same boat, but we see that their solution is to make games free at launch, such as Resogun, don't starve, contrast, outlast, and drive club. The Vita's solution to this was to just not get free games till a year after launch.

But PSN+ is already giving away brand new PS4 games, not 6 month old ones. How is 6 month old games 6 months from now, better than brand new games since launch.

Truth is I cover way more than the cost of my gold sub without game for gold with all the dlc discounts we get every week and got more than 150 bucks of reward over the years... In other words xbl gold is free for anyone that knows how to work it out and now I get free games on top of it...

and to be fair... If they were giving away famous AAA recent game I wouldn't benefit from them since I more than likely have them... I much rather get really good arcade I didn't hear about or good titles that didn't get major media coverage.... Vanquish for example could be a great gfg... But I wouldn't care about AC unless it is black flag ( which won't happen) for example because I have played all the others...

The games they have been giving out are a hell of a lot better than what PS+ gave out in the beginning. It took PS+ a long time before they really started giving out semi recent "AAA" games that people "care about". Also, as someone else pointed out already, there's a difference between what XBL does where you keep the games forever and what PS+ does where it's basically Netflix.

you're right about the beginnings of ps+, that first year was pretty bad.  it wasn't until (exactly 1 year) later when the "instant games collection" was offered that it got good.

and you're right about bold too.   by merely "renting" my titles i get access to about 3x more content, newer content, and in some cases (like with stacking, resogun, don't starve, outlast) day-1 content.  a pretty fair trade, imo, than the idea that at some point in the very distant future i may cancel my ps+ subscription and still want to play very old games.

Weeeelll... if what i heard about you beeing able to keep the games even if you finish your subscription is true, then yes it is better than Playstation +.

The difference beeing Gold will actually give you free games, while PS+ just lets you rent them. I rank property has more valuable than limited ownership. But, the renting one does offer better titles. But, that makes sense given how the systems work.

What's worth $40? The WHOLE XBONE LINEUP was at $40 on launch week and Black Friday, LMAO.

And you Xbox fans only see plus a rental service, but you dismiss THE DISCOUNTS. I got Tales of Xillia, a game from August 2013, Puppeteer a game from September, and Limbo also an awesome game, all for $20. Can you get a similar combo of awesome recent games for $20 on Xbox Live? LMAO, NO. Ni No Kuni, the RPG of the year was at $13.99, Deus Ex Director's Cut for $20, etc etc, Xbox Live can't even compare.

Actually, XBL Gold has pretty great discounts, too.  Full retail games forabout $5 sometimes.  It's just that nobody here ever makes a thread about it.
