The difference being that people KNOW when a celebrity is endorsing a product. They wont have any idea that a youtuber is getting paid to say positive things about the XBO.

this is such a shitty thing to do and absolutely counter productive for the XBox brand.

Everyone will think that every Youtube-person who has something positive to say about the XBone is paid off by MS.

...even when the praise is honest.

oh, and EA is shitty as usual.

Obviously this is an issue, and it's good that it's come to light.

But for me, it brings into question a bigger question about the press... there was a lot of "trying to hard" negativity raised by a few pro MS sites against sony just past the summer (polygon etc), who came out with some right old crap to try and stir up issues... to me that is way more serious.

If you tubers want to be independent, they certainly need to be seen to be impartial, or at least fair and if money is involved then you do have to question their motives.

the console war mentality that you have is nothing short of outstanding, anything bad ever said about microsoft you do your utmos best to try show that sony is just as bad or even worse. it just so happens to be that your examples are always about sony, oh my,  what a coincidence. this thread is about microsoft, Sony has nothing to do with it.
