Do you think this would substantially raise WiiU sales to an average of 10m a year? Should Nintendo take the losses (it's not breaking even right now so it'd be over $1b on every 10m sold) just to get the install base?

If I were nintendo, I would just ride this out instead. They are already taking losses for the WII U and cutting it even more will make it into an even bigger disaster than the PS3 was.

They could give it for free. Personally I think it's the only way the userbase will ever reach an average of 10m a year.

I wouldnt buy a Wii U unless its 100 dollars and bundled with a majoras mask remake

the pricecut to 199 dollars should wait untill 2015. in 2014, they should make more bundles and maybe a 249$ basic SKU. Wii U's doesn't have a problem with price.

Yes they should, but they should make sure it doesn't lose them too much money.

It along with SSB, Mario kart, and other games, some bundled for 250$. Would be nice, but 10m, still too much. Maybe 7, 8, but would be wonderfull with we consider the actual situation.

They sell at 300$ a wii U with 2 games, i think they have the same loss as they had sold a no game version for 250$

Carrying on a little more losses, is possible to sell for 200$.
PS3 had to do this to succed. If nintendo want wii U to succed, the have to do the same, and waste good amount of the profit won in wii/ds era.
