Like Gamecube? Seriously don't even go there acting like that's a fix.

A price cut alone won't help either. Seeing how the games effect the Wii U is probably the better stance as of now. They can't slash the price to 199$ and then it end up not working as well as they wanted. That would put them in an even worse place.

Yes. Its actually quite urgent imo. Sony did something similar with the Ps3, the first thing Kaz did as boss of SCE was slash the price.

But, if they do... that prediction I've just made is wrong.

...Yeah. Sony also lost millions almost every year that the PS3 was out. So no. No they shouldn't.

It could actually take off then and make them a profit, since software would take off aswell. But they need to do it like NOW in that case :).

They would also have to include a larger harddrive.

Never thought I'd see a thread like this from u Seece. I'd like to know ur opinion, but I don't think its worth it.

That's a damn hard question... maybe once they have enough games to sell to offset that black hole the Wii U will become...

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

That kind of price cut? I don't know. It might help with the casuals that failed to jump from Wii to Wii U but I just don't think it would be a good idea. The Wii U will likely be profitable despite lackluster sales but what you're suggesting is PS3 level financial suicide. Even with the PS4 exploding out of the gate and the PS3 surpassing 360 in sales, I can't condone what Sony did from a business point of view. Now from a gamer's point of view, I say give 'em away with Happy Meals from McDonald's if it will make the numbers look good.

the pricecut to 199 dollars should wait untill 2015. in 2014, they should make more bundles and maybe a 249$ basic SKU. Wii U's doesn't have a problem with price.

in 2015 it'll be in its twilight years, it should have had at least 2 price cuts by then.

So by 2015, you expect the Wii U to cost $149 and below? Come on, at least try to be realistic.

seriously? how could you possibly think that?

End of 2015. Nintendo got the Gamecube down to $99 pretty quickly.

GameCube started at $199. At the end of it's life, $99. They made a profit of of it at those prices. Wii U started at $349 and is now at $299. $199 should be the lowest it can go, but in mid-late 2015 if they're still not selling well.

A price cut that steep will only hurt Nintendo more, especially if the heavy hitters are delayed for the later half of the year.

Better wait for the games then do a $50 price cut and see how it works. The last thing Ninty needs to do is become very desperate and do a PS3 type price cut on the Wii U, especially since the 3DS profits can't cover the losses.

How about this instead?

A Limited Edition 64GB Wii U bundled with Super Smash Bros U for $299.99. While supplies last.

Maybe a Limited Edition Wii U with Zelda U for the same price.

Mario Kart 8 Bundle?
