It isn't worth it at all.

NOOO LOL.
Just look what happened to sony when they did that for the PS3.
The losses on each WII U would be bigger than the PS3.
I hope so. At this moment the console doesn't worth the price, at least for me.
I've seen the Wii U on sale for $199 (including the Skylander bundle) numerous times and customers still weren't picking it up.
I personally think Nintendo will need more than just a price cut.

in 2015 it'll be in its twilight years, it should have had at least 2 price cuts by then. |
So by 2015, you expect the Wii U to cost $149 and below? Come on, at least try to be realistic.

Nahh, lowering the price even more without manufacturing costs going down is not worth it... No one is sure if the wiiU would even sell at $199 plus there are tons of games coming out so it would be silly just to drop the price when there is so many system sellers coming out in 2014... The month after the two big games come out... Sure...
They have to think about the best way to make money and selling units at over $100 loss per console is not even close to being worth it
PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850
But the harware isn't really that powerful for them to lose that much.
Nintendo played it too safe imo. They made wii a huge success and made wiiU very similar to it. It worked only for Wii i guess. Technology and power needed for today's multiplatform games, unfortunately works against them. Developers don't even consider wiiU anymore.
Will the price cut help? I don't think so...
i think they lost so much this year because they had contract for to much wii Us. they lost so much because they didnt buyed all those chips they ordered. the tech Is cheap.
