Seriously were now in 2014. The game is due for release at some point this year and there hasn't even been a single screenshot for the game. No trailers either outside of the announcement trailer.  Halo games usually have a massive build up of hype with tons of media, screenshots, and info. This is the first time a Halo game comes out in less than a year and weve never even seen a glimpse of the game.

So whats going on? Is MS just being ultra secretive?  Is there some kind of development issues?  Either way the lack of ANY info is strange. 

It's 60fps, has artwork out, uses cloud, and is the next in the trilogy. We know quite a bit. E3 will show us true gameplay

Ive been day 1 with every Halo ever released.

This is by far the least weve ever seen about a Halo game in a lead up to its release.

I say it again and again. Halo 5 is not confirmed for 2014. That one tweet that everyone jerks to doesn't mention Halo 5 and not even if it's about a game at all. For all it's worth he could be talking about a comic book.
The fact there is absolutely no material other than a very short non gameplay teaser supports this.

Didnt halo 4 first sart showing stuff about 10 months before release with a vidoc? Though idk really. As ive said multiple times im not even convinced it is halo 5 just yet. With them being so secretive over the name who knows. All i know is it is after halo 4 and Microsoft considers it a legit halo.

Oh and there was concept art released a few weeks ago.

i guess they want it to be surprised or maybe they are waiting for microsoft to unlock some dev kit features and its just not ready to be shown yet

Halo 4 was revealed at E3 2011 and released late 2012, so I cant see why Halo 5 cant do the same... Unless next gen development is proving tough for them to meet deadlines. 2 Years isnt really that long a time, especially when youre moving to new hardware.

Got a feeling that theyre just saving it for an E3 blowout. People know that the game is coming, so build up the hype and blow everyone away at the biggest event of the year.

I'm sure its coming. They will release lots of info soon. They need that big system seller to sell millions of X1s at end of the year. Unless they think that the install base of the X1 will be too small at the end of 2014, and so Halo 5 might not sell that many units. I would actually prefer a 2015 release now, so that the game will be released on a console with a larger install base.

I wouldn't mind if we don't get Halo this year.

Probably saving everything Halo for E3 so they overshadow whatever Ninty/Sony has to show.
