Probaby yes (To the question if people would give a shit). But the Xbone fans wouldn't praise it as much as they do and PS fans wouldn't try to give it the could shoulder so hard. It would be much smaller than Destiny though.

Only ps fans tries to downplay the game...since it's not on ps4...sucks though because the game IS on PC,..

The reason the game is hyped in the first place is because of all the great word of mouth the game has been getting. I mean it got best game of E3 2013 and got dozens of awards. There were many people that tried it at E3 and said it was the most fun they had with any game. It's ridiculous to ask if a game deserves the hype it's getting after that.
Comparing this game to Haze, I mean really? Could you list all the awards Haze got and all the people that said it was their favorite game of E3? The situations between the two aren't even remotely the same.
Here's my main way of deciding if a game is overhyped: if the game had average graphics would people still be raving about it? Take Killzone Shadow Fall for example, if it looked like Titanfall would it have gotten any hype? The fact that Titanfall isn't being praised and hyped because of graphics pretty much tells me that it deserves the hype it's getting.

Tennis is 1V1 and 2V2, do you think it would be a lot better if it was 20v20? What about chess, do you think it would be a much better game with 6V6 instead of 1V1? Imaging a soccer game with 100v100. Increasing the player count doesn't automatically make a game better. As for 720P we had tons of great games last gen that weren't even 720p so I don't see how the game's resolution should be a deciding factor in how hyped a game should be.

Lol great point and I don't even care about this game, because I don't like FPS multiplayer. But again, great post

Well haze and killzone didnt break records at e3,if it was not exclusive it would still get its fair share of attention since it basically is opening the 2nd wave of next gen games .
It's not just fanboy hype.
