Future Trunks. He was the only character with common sense. If he was strong enough to kill his opponent he did it in 5 minutes and moved on. He didn't bullshit with them like Goku does, or let them transform for some stupid reason like Vegeta does. Future Trunks was the perfect balance of Vegeta's ruthlessness and Goku's kind heart. Watching him pummel Frieza and Cold, ruthlessly killing the 17 & 18 of his timeline, and finally the destroying his timeline's Cell was awesome.
I always wished they did a Manga/Anime series that followed Future Trunks after he got back to his time line. Seeing rebuild the Earth and seeing a new cast of characters would have been cool. Hell, maybe he could have went to New Namek and used Porunga to wish back Future Gohan.
Truthfully I prefer DB to DBZ. DBZ peaked during the Frieza Saga and slowly went down from there. Don't get me wrong, the Android/Cell Saga was good but flawed, but the Buu Saga was ridiculous. They ruined Gohan just to put the focus back on Goku and Vegeta. I'm sorry but even if he stopped training, there is no way an 11 year old Gohan would be stronger than an 18 year old Gohan. Toriyama needed some lame reason for Vegeta and Goku to surpass Gohan's power level. If Gohan had trained at all during those 7 years. Buu would have never had the chance to "hatch".
