I might pay $250 for a Smash Bros bundle...

It's not about the price, it's about the games, to me.

I personally see Nintendo bundling MK8 soon, if they release that game soon.

the right cost is all about the games. i basically divide the cost of the console over the games i want to play.

a $500 console divided by 500 desirable games is cheap.
a $200 console divided by 2 desirable games is expensive.

to date there isn't really anything on wiiU i really want and not a whole lot of promise of much to come. smash, MK, and the promise of zelda and metroid. so i guess i'd pay $100 right now.

250 U$, without any games. I already have it, but some friends want to choose the games they want to play and not be able to get New Super Mario Bros U, so reduce the price for a bundle without games that way looks like you are forced to pay for a game you don't want.

But only a new revision with the better battery included, they sell separately now. I don't want to buy a version with a gimped battery, just to throw it away after replacing it with a better one.

And when I turn it on the first time, I don't want to download several GB of firmware updates, so the software should be on an actual level out-of-the-box.

I went for $200 as I presume that is roughly £140-£150 here in the UK?

For me personally, I am not even sure I would pick up a Wii U for that as I have never really played on a Nintendo console. I think perhaps a little lower, in the £120 region or thereabouts.

250 seems fine to me, dont think there would be a huge difference in people who would buy the console if price was dropped below 250, people would be more interested in the lineup

Never. I don't think anyone I know would even buy one even if it was 50 dollars
