Forums - Nintendo Discussion - VGChartz's Best of Zelda - The Results!

SS is pretty great in terms of  story, charcters and combat.. The linear structure kills any chance it has to be the  best Zelda in my opinion.......

Interesting and clearly a lot of work put into this. It surprises me that Twilight Princess (which I think is the worst 3D console Zelda by a country mile) could wind up in 3rd despite winning hardly any categories. I would think all of Majora's Mask story-related wins would have netted it better than 5th. Wind Waker also seemed like it was doing better than TP.

I maintain the top 5 Zeldas are: 1. Ocarina 2. Wind Waker 3. Skyward 4. Majora's Mask and 5. Link Between Worlds or Link to the Past.

Best controls, Skyward Sword, seriously? Controls killed that game for me.

I am clearly out of touch with fellow Zelda fans if "A Link to the Past" did not register anywhere here. Still the best in the series for me.

Of course I am an odd ball who rates Ocarina of Time out of his personal top five and adores Minish Cap.

Still, good over view and well constructed outline of results.

You aren't the only one who took a double take. (Although, the second time I tried Skyward Sword, the controls were better.)

And so it seems Skyward Sword isn't as big of a pile as some people have lead us to believe.

This deserves a sticky, nice thread.
Going to have to pick up Skyward Sword again tomorrow after reading all this, never did finish that one.

Skyward Sword is a great game in almost every area, but really, controls are bad. Very bad. And the fact that Nintendo themselves said that motion controls are the rule now for Zelda games, it makes me even more sad.

Motion controls are going to be optional for Zelda U. Aonuma said it himself. He also said Zelda U is going to use the GamePad to its full  potential.

I have a feeling they aren't going to make us whip around our Gamepads in the air. There will probably be control options on the next Zelda. Like there is with NintendoLand and Super Mario 3D World.

That's a huge relief xD
