That's great but is one of these games going to be actually good? Doubt it...

After playing the 2D release that just came out on Xbox Live few months ago one has to wonder if these guys are just trolling Castlevania or absolutely don't get it.

Hopefully I'm wrong, but if not hope it bombs hardcore and Konami gives it to another dev team.

Yeah, the PS3 and 3DS ones I tried were just...bland and boring games.  I really miss PS1, GBA and DS entries with better combat, puzzles, and far far better level design. Not to mention character design and musical score.

I would like to see a Contra 1 style 2 player Co-op in a Castlevania that has a Trine 2 art+gfx influenced style + local&online 2-player co-op puzzle solving to spice up the platforming/boredom of the series for the first time in a Castlevania game. 3D would be good as well in a highly detailed stylized 2D game like this.

Or just bring on the CV+GoW formulaic crap they always been doing lately. Meh.

I'm glad Konami won't be using you to make the next Castlevania.

C'mon Nintendo, do something about this.

The tech is too weak and Nintendo isn't a market leader for the types of games third parties make. Once the last gen consoles lose support Nintendo is fucked. This should've been common sense to most gamers.

They should just spend the cash to secure exclusives. IMO graphics don't need to get much better and games don't need to get more complex. I think if Nintendo 'incentivized' some third parties with their Wii winnings, they could get 'those types' of games on their system and prove that they would sell. As long as the games are original and fun, they'd sell for sure.

Yep, Nintendo had forced themselves back into this position. Before the Wii this was status quo for them.

the recent Castlevania games were bland as hell, i wish they'd make one as good as Super Castlevania 4, now that was a masterpiece.
