The tech is too weak and Nintendo isn't a market leader for the types of games third parties make. Once the last gen consoles lose support Nintendo is fucked. This should've been common sense to most gamers.

They should just spend the cash to secure exclusives. IMO graphics don't need to get much better and games don't need to get more complex. I think if Nintendo 'incentivized' some third parties with their Wii winnings, they could get 'those types' of games on their system and prove that they would sell. As long as the games are original and fun, they'd sell for sure.

Yep, Nintendo had forced themselves back into this position. Before the Wii this was status quo for them.
