Forums - Sales - Why come no one is seeing the 2D screenings of today's 3D Movies? (i.e. Gravity & 47 Ronin)

I never watch anything in 3D. I hate wearing glasses and the film is always too dark for me to enjoy.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

Probably because the lack of option given by the publisher or the theaters. This thread has shown that there are people that would pick 2D over 3D.

I personally don't like 3D, and I hate when they are only showing a movie in 3D. Is not a matter of price, even though 3D is more expensive here, but I just don't like 3D.

Can we at least enjoy 3D for having way more clearity & anti-aliasing & vividness & etc. then 2D?

My experience is that the 3D glasses make the film darker so no I do not feel like it makes it more vivid and clear.

Not to mention (at least in my experience) the theaters I go to have an insanely vivid, clear picture with absolutely no aliasing. I can't fathom better picture quality TBH.

I can't see 3D so the sooner it dies the better. I hate having to pay for something I can't see.

As well as theaters pushing 3D on audiences, movies do the same. Gravity was marketed as an IMAX 3D "Experience." Claiming to be something that you have to see in 3D/IMAX 3D or you'll be missing out. (Which you would.)

You aren't the only one in the world who goes to see movies.

Is it not possible to choose a 2D movie in your theater?

Other people can kiss my ass, they're not my problem. 2D ovies only play during the day, when most people are at work.

You know somebody that paid to see 47 Ronin?

I didn't think 3D was still such a big deal, but yeah, it was the only way to see Gravity for me.

What a nice thing to live by.

Do they play during the day on weekends? That's weird, though. In my area there are always options.
