Forums - Gaming - Titanfall max player count is 12 players - 6 v 6 battles with AI

I just get a feeling that alot of people that are dismissing Titanfall in here will never, and never had any intentions of, owning an X1 in the first place, just saying :).

For some games 32 or 64 players work fine. For others 10, 12 or anything like that works best.

What reporters probably has seen, which critics in here seem to miss, is that this is no COD or battlefield clone, but quite a unique game which is story based in a multiplayer environment.

6v6 on it's own can be fun but as a max this is pretty disappointing. i've always prefered the 32 player maps personally and at least having some bigger maps helps add a lot of variety to a game. being multiplayer only it seems like they ought to have at least got to some 24 player maps.

But what if there are atleast 24 players on each map, along with Titans and such, only that 12 of the players are AI controlled? It shouldn´t make any difference for the players but could even out the difficulty so you can actually finish the levels :)

Well, you don't an Xbox One they enjoy Titan Fall.

This sounds perfect to me. Having AI's replace campers and some degree of lag should make the experience more immersive. Hopefully there's lots of them, making player encounters somewhat more intense.

I'm all for this.

I would be really cool if you meet hordes of enemies, where some are real players, and some are canonfodder :)

That is the power of the cloud! I'm sure if they manage to improve the AI in the future, even less players will be required. Humans always mess up the balance anyway.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Agreed. Especially if the players have some form of control over a squad of AI. As if they're officers or something.

Though I guess it needs its own IP.

I trust Zampella over a bunch of people on GAF or VGChartz.

Do any of you play Last of Us and its awesome 8 player online and think it sucks because it should be more than 8?

For once, I agree with you. I think people need to wait until they have played the damn game before jumping to conclusions. The game may be very well balanced with that player cap. I'm sure the game will be just fine, with the maps and overall gameplay taking this number into consideration.

People have this tendency to think that more is better. ¬_¬

What is max CoD numbers? Battlefield?
