Forums - Gaming - Titanfall max player count is 12 players - 6 v 6 battles with AI

6v6 sounds good to me, was afraid there would be too much going on.

Damn, I prefer a 4v4 format tbh.

Hopefully it's an option.

What's the reason for having bots? To make it easier for everyone to get at least some kills?

What's the actual max number of combat units in a game? If you get 1-14 AI units per "team" then up to 20v20 seems pretty good.

I can see advantages to having a mix of live players and bots and having a relatively low number of live players per match.

However the AI needs to be on par with the skill of the players, and at least visually it needs to be impossible for players to know whether the character they're aiming at is a live player or a bot.

well, that seems disappointing.

We need Selnor to get here fast to re-build our hype.

6V6 has its pros and cons. But having an option is always a good and important thing. They should really leave the option for more human players. I really can't get why they set such limits to the game.

Let's just see if AI follows real players' attitude in a Driveatar-like fashion.

The bots are not meant to replace players. They are there to help with the flow of the combat and direct people to objectives. They are not going to be anywhere near the skill of even low skilled human players.

It's a nice blend of FPS and MOBA elements and I can't wait to see how it turns out. The majority of the action is not even going to be with the bots, it will be the 12 players on the map bouncing and wall running and double jumping around, plus their Titans. What will be interesting is the skill level of the AI Titans. You can have them patrol an area or defend an objective.

My guess would be because the game has a storyline and the idea is that the player should feel the he/she gets a challenge equal to playing a SP game, only in multiplayer.

Wouldn´t it be cool if you regulated the difficulty level by choosing how many real players you would have on a level? Like 6 v 6 is normal difficulty, 12 v 12 hard and so on.

So a game that is multiplayer only and will run at 720p and has 6 vs 6 online matches is a $500 system seller?

Yeah...Destiny, true next gen shooter......Okay

Nothing that is also getting released on X360 and PS3 is NEXT GEN.

K by that logic then Titanfall is not next gen then, and neither are like most of the games on the PS4 or XBone
